But they just opened recently! How long have they been here? 2 years? Maybe 3?

what is going on..

There story makes little sense.
In reality, they are shutting down the Lehigh valley location in favor of the Pocono location where there is equal, if not better, highway access and lower labor costs. |
I think they have an outlet or two in the Poconos. And a distribution center near one of them. I thought they closed that distribution center when they opened the one here. So the center here was just temporary? These plans are made far in advance. They haven't had a presence here long enough to have been able to plan and build a new facility somewhere else.

I don't believe a lot of jobs out there
If there were so many jobs why are so many on welfare and unemployment. A lot of jobs at little pay. How many manufacturing jobs have left the Lehigh Valley. Enough whitewashing the areas job market. There are no good paying jobs for the average person. Before you comment think about it. |

I used to work there and I got fired and the stpid union didnt help so good for that place supervisors suck there and the human resource dept. too ha ha thats what they get
you got fired because you suck, not the company, Maybe if you would have done your job you wouldn't be so bitter, get over it. A job is needed to support yourself and your family, however it is not the end of the world, there are jobs out there, it's your responsibility to go out and get one. Life goes on people. |

Have you heard any rumors about Liz closing the Mount Pocono distribution center?
I haven't heard anything yet, but you never know around here. They don't tell you until the last minute. Anyone else know? |

Does anyone know about the rumur that Liz is building a Distribution Center in Mexico?
The dist center in Mount Pocono on Liz Way is still open but that retail operation is now over at the Crossings. The distribution center used to have a retail store - nothing fancy but you could get nice Liz stuff for men and women pretty cheap. The distribution center itself is still open.

Sometimes things happen for a reason. Why have a job that you can lose at a moments notice. Seems a bit inhumane, however that's life. Start a home based business and WORK for YOURSELF! check out this web site: www.tryecoquest.com/clyde

Allentown |
Those affected should pack up the car and move to Fl, Ga, SC, NC, AZ, or NV.
They are unlikely to close the Mount Pocono Distribution center since it is one of the only if not the only one they own. They spent a lot of money to get it automated and built an addition the same size as the original. They did have another building they rented up the street that one is closing and all those people were able to come to the P1 facility. Buisness is not what it was so never say never!

Liz Claiborne just isn't what it used to be.

This company has gone straight down hill, the management staff is terrible here in Mt. Pocono, no one knows what is going on in this places, they don't tell you anything, layoffs and more layoffs, people walking around doing nothing while others work, where is the management? Think they should fire everyone of the top people and the ones that came from Allentown to here. They need to get the business back on track.
There is too much favoritism in this place. Mt. Pocono is not like it used to be when we had Ton Gaynord here. Everything is out of wack now. Very mismanaged.

i agree that the last town meeting that we had in mt.pocono was almost a year ago. and now they don't tell us what is really happening anymore. one of the managers told us that they don't know for sure that the mt.pocono company will close the doors on january. it depends if the new brand of clothes is settled in ohio or mt.pocono. that we won't know till the last minute. now is only lay offs one week, one month. that is all there is.
