This is just the beginning. The bubble is bursting. Foreclosures, high taxes,LIPA,Keyspan, gas prices, insurance and all types of debt are about to sink a lot of retail outlets. Than the domino theory takes effect. Deer Park will not make more shoppers. It just takes them from other areas. Tanger will just compete with itself. Hopefully I'm wrong but the sky is falling.

The beginning? The Bellport Outlets have been shoddy for YEARS. I worked in Bellport Village in 2000 and the outlet selection was pretty poor back then.

Don't you ever have anything positive to contribute? Your comments are always so gloom and doom. If you're not part of the solution, guess what? You're part of the problem!

Tear the place down....and build a jail!!!!

The jail can easily be accomodated by the arrests made in Bellport alone!!!!

Alrose is a slum lord. They will let that property totally deteriorate. They owned property in oceanside that was abandoned and in total disrepair. There was homeless living in there for some time. Than the kids took it over and built there own skate park inside. They would make fires in the garbage cans for light and to stay warm, til one day they burnt it down. I think they sold the property and are now rebuilding.

Maybe it can become Newsdays new headquarters and they can give live traffic reports from the site. What a useless paper, yes I read it online, but, when I buy a paper I'd but daily news or even, yes, the post. At least its not bias.

It figures presiding imbecile brian foley would rather have a 95,000 square foot empty building then a thriving BJ Warehouse store. There is no cure for stupidity. foley is the heavy weight kid when it comes to stupid. He and his House Of Idiots. I am sure he will figure out what to do with the soon to be empty outlet. Maybe he can use it to store bullshit bags. A bullshit bag is used for pliticians to speak into then it is sealed. In two years foley himself could fill the place with those.

Keppert wants to vision Bellport, eh? I think the vision of an empty mall is exactly in keeping with most of North Bellport. Maybe the mall owner should open drive thru crack houses in the empty space. That's in true keeping with the surrounding area.

HAHA, the entire North Bellport area is "workforce housing". There are just no workers inhabiting them. Believe me, the area doesnt need more housing. They just need to clean it up.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
