If you hadn't noticed i didnt say their taxes should be lowered, i just believe its unfair to have them higher then everyone else. They work just as hard for their money too.
Their taxes were lowered without reason. Why should anyone need a reason to put them back where they were? If you are asking about progressive taxes in general, i.e. why should people with higher incomes be taxed at a higher rate? The answer to that is that they can afford to pay higher taxes with minimal negative consequences. Why should a person who can barely scrape up enough food to avoid starving to death have to pay any taxes at all? The rich also derive much more benefit from a government that protects their wealth better than it protects the wealth of the rest of us. For example, how does law enforcement protect the wealth of a person who has none? Given that about 40% of the population has a net worth of zero, or less, maybe they shouldn't have to pay for national defense, police, or fire protection.

Keep this in mind when you're candidate starts spewing trash about "Tax breaks for the rich" Obama would have sounded a lot less believable if he said "No more tax breaks for myself" This guy is good at using classism as catalyst for his election. The most hilarious part is HE IS RICH!!!!

I think your rant demonstrates exactly the opposite of what you intended. It demonstrates the democratic senators are will to gore their own oxes to do what is best for the country. On the other hand, "the non-partisan Tax Policy Center found that McCain’s economic plan “would primarily benefit those with very high incomes.” In fact, under McCain’s plan, John and Cindy McCain would get a $300,000 tax break." http://thinkprogress.org/2008/08/27/mccain-bu...

Even more people were disgusted with the Democrat controlled congress.

Hopefully Obama doesn't operate the country like his divisive, undermining, democratic counter parts. They can't vote for a war and blame someone else when it goes wrong. Of course the here no evil speak no evil dems keep chanting "bush lied" "bush lied" bush lied" as though if they keep saying it, it will become fact. You'd think with all the democratic lawyers in congress they would have nailed bush for these UNPROVEN LIES and impeached him. Then they cut funds to undermine the war effort in hopes of gaining political ground when things got bad in Iraq.... Funny how all the libral 911 conspiracy theorist always failed to mention Sandy Burger when he walked out of the national archives with top secret documents stuffed down his pants http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles... ! Ahh yes I can smell the winds of change and they seem to smell like the same old Cr@p! Same scumbags, different jerseys. Don't get your hopes to high. And don't let your democratic rose colored glasses blind you.
A couple of points on your regurgitation of false right-wing talking points. The Dems didn't 'control congress.' They had a razor slim majority and the Repugs stated their objective was to obstruct obstruct and obstruct some more.

There never was a vote for the war. there was a vote to authorization to use force if certain conditions were met. Those conditions were not met.the majority of the Dems in BOTH houses voted against the authorization.

I do wish the leadership had had the backbone to have opened impeachment hearings, but they made the political decision not to. The LIES would have been pud easy to prove.

Berger removed COPIES of files and was punished for it.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
