How He Won: a Near-flawless run from start to finish

Full story: www.msnbc.msn.com

It was the third week of September, and Senator John McCain was speaking to a nearly empty convention center in Jacksonville, Fla. “The fundamentals of the economy are strong,” he said.

Mr. McCain’s inartful phrase about the economy that day, and the responses of the two campaigns, fundamentally altered the dynamic of the race. But the episode also highlighted a deeper difference: the McCain campaign team often seemed to make missteps and lurch from moment to moment in search of a consistent strategy and message, while the disciplined and nimble Obama team marched through a presidential contest of historic intensity learning to exploit opponents’ weaknesses and making remarkably few stumbles.

Below is an excerpt from Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky the '70s guru for community organizers. It's the roadmap Barack Obama used to screw you and your country...

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families - more than seventy million people - whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."

He won because of the judgement and character he displayed. He also won because America appreciate his policies more than the stated McCain/Bush policies.

He also won because America has become a bit smarter by being able to look past the previous campaign seasons when the winner was more concerned about carving our a winning base vs. bringing as many Americans together as possible in order to reach our goals.

Johninla why don't you just pack up and move to Dubai with the rest of the America hating tax evaders that ruined this country for the last decade, while the rest of us work hard to restore every thing your lousy team broke.

Looks like the social history revisionism begins.

I hope you all still love your Messiah in a year after he and his Congress socialize America and finish the job of Carter and Clinton in detroying our banking systems and economy.

Good news is, we are leaving Bush policies behind us. And not electing McCain was a way of doing that. No need to go back to something that has us bailing out multi-millionaires with money we can't afford to spend.

When You see the work before you that need to be accomplished it is not white, black, gays, christians, people of faith, asian, latino, hispanic, jews, filipino, handicap and all other important people that are not named then you have won!

Obama spoke of unity and this is something each one of us have to make happen. In finding that common thread which will unite us one has to forget about self desires. Many of you did not. Some may have elected Obama for their own selfish reasons and this is old washing at work again. Some have already used Obama name to line up with their own selfish organizations. We as americans have to die to selfishness and look to the better good of america. Can this happen. CAN WE AS AMERICANS RESTORE-REBUILD-AND RENEW AMERICA? America is made up of many different white, black, gays, christians, people of faith, asian, latino, hispanic, jews, filipino, handicap and all other important people that are not named.

TAKE THE TIME TO STUDY THIRD CULTURE CHILDREN AND PEOPLE.

UNITE TO RESTORE-REBUILD-AND RENEW AMERICA---CAN YOU DO THIS? UNTIL YOU RESTORE-REBUILD- AND RENEW AMERICA NO PERSON HAVE WON!

And what has George Bush and his cronies done for the economy and banking system with no regulations. At least we have someone with common sense who actually understands issues besides war. They are experts at that one, I give you that. But everything else that has to do with America McCain/Bush/Palin have no clue. It's still a free country and you can choose to move somewhere else for this term then come back and try again. Cry baby Cry!!! LOL!

Congratulations Mr. President Elect Barack Obama.

Other countries are congratulating us. They no longer think we're 2nd class. They are as thankful as we are to be rid of Bush & his cronies. No one likes them except maybe Joe the Plumber and Joe Six Pack. Most of them can't admit that they just cannot stand the thought that a black man made it. Get over it. It happened and its best for all of us

Common Thread,
"Unity" has become a propogranda term.

What "Unity" means now, knuckling under to radical left wing extremist Demcorat ideology.

"Unity" means giving up your Constitutional rights.

"Unity" means allowing Democrat thugs to steal your hard earned money.

You want Americans to "die to selfishness", when the very people who elected Obama are consumed in their own selfishness.

The problem is their selfishness is like illegal drugs. It affects everyone around them and then society pays a heavy price.

All the warm and fuzzy rhetoric the Democrats and Obama utter, does not CHANGE what they are.

Only The Good Lord when He returns can change the corrupt hearts of mankind.

Obama is not the one who will usher in utopia for he himself is corrupt.

Yes indeed ... the world has always had america's interest at heart over their own.
Wise up.

It is not the black man we object to ... it is a socialist, completely inexperienced black man.

This was less of an election than a parade ... with the crowd shouting "throw me something mista"

How the man ran, so shall he govern. For those who cannot extrapolate abstractly, I suggest you get a tutor and fast or you will be so seriously handicapped for following the new and improved reality or subsequent discussions that emerge from that reality that for all practical purposes you won't be in it.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
