I was there in the National Guard pulling ALL peopl out. I'm glad I missed you! I need a good laugh! Very amusing and classy post. Fact is, twenty-nine people died in 1991 in that flash flood including 12 children. Two of them, a 5 year old boy and his 4 year old sister are buried by my in-laws. The next time I visit there I'll send you a picture of their graves, just think what a hoot that'll be.

All that inbreeding comes at a cost. How dare you use The Lord's name as your own.

That's obviously right up your alley. Also, I'll use whatever name I want to. If it offends you...then that's too bad.

Enzyte Bob wrote: <quoted text> If you click on the link you will see that the statistics are from a ranking of all 50 states, which I manually typed and sumarized in that chart. The Tax Foundation has no motivation to skew statistics in favor or against any particular state. It merely gathers the information using its methodology and ranks them accordingly. -Ohio used to have 23 congressional seats, we will have 16. We have lost 7 congressional seats in the last 20 years. -Only used to have many wealthy families. It now only has two billionaires (Les Wexner and the founder of Iams Pet Food). Texas has low taxes and a low cost of doing business and it has prosperity. Ohio had prosperity when it had low taxes and a low cost of doing business. Now it has a high cost of doing business. It shouldn't have to take a rocket scientist to figure this one out! I did click on the link, I always try to validate what I am posting about. I still say there wasn't any idication as to which party controlled the governor's mansion just the congressional seats. So my original point of just baseing if TS did or did not do a good job can't be drawn from just this chart. I am not advocating for TS or against him, just saying that I can't follow your reasoning behind using this chart to prove your point.

Kroger had lower prices than Big Bear, Albers, Food World, Fazio's, A&P and Super Duper and put them out of business. Texas has a lower cost of doing business than Ohio. Are you liberals really so dense you can't figure this one out? That's why I insult you. You are DUMB, STUPID, IMBECILES, RETARDED, IDIOTS, MORONS, ETC. if you can't figure out why OHIO WAS ONE OF THE MOST PROSPEROUS STATES WHEN IT WAS 47TH IN TAXATION and why TEXAS WITH SIMILARLY LOW TAXATION IS AMONG THE MOST PROSPEROUS. I don't work for the government. I could care less if LAZY GOVERNMENT WORKERS HAVE TO RETIRE AT 65 LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. NO MORE TAXES FROM ME. CUT GOVERNMENT. CUT IT TO THE BONE. UNIONS AND LIBERALS RUIN EVERYTHING THEY TOUCH! Look, I agree with most of what you say but I do not agree with the anger. Anger doesn't accomplish anything and usually has quite the opposite effect. Anger doesn't draw people who are on the fence to yours side, it pushes them away. I am not a government employee either and I do see the waste in government and I wouldn't mind trimming the fat. I just think an exacto blade is a better tool than an axe. I never said WalMart was "bad" for doing what they do, other than I miss KMart and Ames, and sometimes compatition is a good thing. I don't agree with your reasoning behind why Texas is doing better than Ohio because I think there is more to it than just the tax rate and the right-to-work.

Kasich won the support of the wealthiest voters surveyed, those earning more than $60,000, while Strickland had the backing of voters in all other income brackets.

This Redistribution of Wealth mentality of Dems and Libs is going out the door come November 2. Brace yourself for the loud and clear message in one week- We (the majority) have had enough!

Cynical wrote: Realistically both candidates understand that until the economy turns around the jobs situation won't get better, not in Ohio, and not in the country. Both are hoping that will improve in the next term. Neither of them has a magic bullet to bring back jobs quickly. Anyone believing otherwise is just a simpleton. The question is who do you want making the necessary budget cuts/tax calls until the country sees a real recovery? A guy with a history of listening to the corporate interests or a guy with a history of trying to help the folks who are hurting? It depends upon your portfolio.
