Ohio Lawmaker Takes Cue from New Ariz. Immigration Law

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An Ohio lawmaker plans to introduce immigration legislation this week based on Arizona's new illegal immigration law. It would join three other immigration relation bills pending at the Statehouse right now.

Folks in the Central Ohio Latino community are reacting strongly to the idea

Watch out for Kasich. He is nothing but pure, shameless ambition. He craves power and authority and is not the least bit interested in the average joe. Be afraid if he wins. This is nothing about Republicans or Democrats. He is worse than both.

Ted is so out of office after the election! He is a complete goofball and has done nothing worthwhile to help this state other than get involved in politics. He has really stiffed the education system. What I appreciated most about Strickland's stupidity, is the way he early released a bunch of criminals from prison so they could be free to commit more crimes. Nearly impossible to convict them, then Strickland lets them out early. I am a democrat saying this by the way.

Kasich is a great guy, a relative had a lot of trouble with his GI bill and Kasich went out of his way to help. Several government officials were approached, but only Kasich chose to help a veteran. I dunno, he seems like the lesser of dumb and dumber.

I would love to see a law like Arizona's here in Ohio. No one should be able to circumvent the immigration law, not when I have to go through a stinking exray machine just to fly accross the country.
