It's no wonder that the candidate with a plan for Ohio has ran a positive ad campaign, and that the candidate who's overseen 400,000 jobs lost has resorted to slanderous smears and attacks.

Kasich will make the tough choices necessary for this state to be competitive again. Ted? He's turning into an angry old man http://www.youtube.com/watch...

The final decision on where to invest the money was left to the pension fund managers. These are the same people that spend over $1Million a year on travel to review their investments(based on yesterday's Dispatch article). The fact that the funds have lost or declined in value shouldn't suprise anyone. The SEIU just wants to shift blame for their sloppy oversight to Kasich in hopes that the current administration will keep the business as usual and possibly bail them out.

they need to have laws that make anyone who puts out campaign ads responsible for the truth behind the claims they make. anyone who knowingly bends or distorts the truth should face mandatory prison sentences as well as being responsible for making mandatory reperations to the people they are harming AND making public claims of their deceit. there is too much falsehood allowed to be presented as "truth".

I said it before and I will say it again, Governor
Ted Strickland has no Accomplishments to speak of
as Governor of the State of Ohio so all He can do
is Attack John Kasich!!! All of Stricklands ad's
are attack ads, he has nothing positive to say
about himself....!!! Strickland is a CAREER
POLITICIAN.....only looking out for himself!
John Kasich has already come up with new idea's
for the State of Ohio but all Strickland can do
is BEG for Obama, Biden and Bill Clinton to come
to town and try and save his job!!!! Pack your
bags Strickland, your worthless butt is going out
the door!! Go Kasich

also, i saw an ad put out, not FOR strickland but AGAINST kasich. one of the three reasons it gave as to why people should not support kasich is that he supports charter schools. well, thats one BIG reason for me to vote FOR him. i dont get the philosophy of the democrats that instead of allowing people to achieve their greatest potential, they want to "dumb down" the smart people so the less intelligent dont "feel bad about themselves." there is a saying in COMMUNIST china that goes "a nail who stands up gets beat down." sounds an awful lot like the modern democrat sentiment pushing for an (inferior) public education for everyone.

Stricland and his political action committes can not run on his record. The only choice they have is to attack Kasich with lies. Everyone sees through it and it converts more voters to Kasich and further damages Stricland. He's out of there !!

John Kasich took more than $ 1,000,000 as an undeserved bonus for watching Lehman Brothers tank because of bad management of which he was a part. Since when is it an American economic ideal to take huge rewards for failure?

His policies of free market deregulation and dismantling government oversight of the banking and real estate industries as he repeatedly expounded on FoxNews were the precise blueprint for the economic meltdown of 2008. The only economy he has ever done well with is the economy of John Kasich.

To elect this man at this point in economic history is about as smart as giving your sixteen year old the keys to a brand new Corvette immediately after he has totaled all three of the family cars.

We cannot afford to return to the ruin of the Bush/Cheney economic policies which brought America to its financial knees in 2008-09. Kasich and Portman (who was Bush's Budget Director) know nothing else.

Kasich is a CROOK and a corporate bitch. That said, Strickland seems to be a corporate bitch, as well.

If Strickland wants to prove this wrong, he needs to stick to his promise and enforce the HSUS initiative which establishes baseline standards for the humane treatment of animals on factory farms.

If Strickland welches out on this promise, I'll not vote for him although I am a Democrat.

He made a lot of "undeserved" money ----

While his company tanked (read - declared bankruptcy) leaving hundreds of thousands of investors in a burning bus, Lehman Brothers partners and managers such as Kasich wrote themselves $84 Billion in undeserved bonuses some of which was TARP money ( read - taxpayer money).

This is why Kasich refuses to divulge his 2009 financial data which would reveal a seven figure bonus check from Lehman Brothers. Nothing illegal mind you, but his actions are not very moral or ethical.

The tide is starting to turn.

George Voinovich, our Republican U.S. Senator, is supporting President Obama and will vote to help American small businesses.

Finally, a Republican with cajones! I would vote for you George Voinovich, but will never vote for John "Wall Street Job Outsourcer" Kasich or you Rob "Trade Deal" Portman. Never.

Kasich has a plan for Ohio?

LMAO!

This guy is soooooooooooo out-of-touch. He still thinks the government is buying $600 toilet seats and that Ohio companies are still flocking to Kentucky because their taxes are so low.

His entire campaign conists of sound bites lifted from speeches he gave in the 1980's and kooky ideas like privatizing the Department of Development and the Lottery.

This is the best we can do?

I don't care what you party line is, the bottom line Kasich record speaks for itself - Yes on outsourcing jobs and No on gun rights - guess that is why Strickland got NRA endorsement. Kasich is not right for Ohio. Kasich voted for the following:

Trade Issues:
U.S.-China Relations Act of 2000
HR 4444
Economic Assistance to Vietnam
H J Res 58
China Trade resolution
H J Res 57
Reciprocal Trade Agreement Bill
HR 2621
China Most-Favored-Nation Resolution
H J Res 79

Gun Issues:
Mandatory Gun Show Background Check Act
HR 2122
24 Hour Background Check Amendment
H Amdt 215
Regulation of Semi-Automatic Assault Weapons
HR 4296
Instant Background Checks for Gun Purchase Amendment
H Amdt 390

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Leo

This is one of those days when money slips through your fingers in no time at all unless you're very vigilant about your spending habits. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to stop yourself splashing out whenever the fancy takes you, whether or not you can afford it. You're especially drawn to tempting little treats and luxurious indulgences.
