Leave it to dems to bash making money, if were up to them, we would all be equally miserably poor.

Nice try to spin for your pre-ordained endorsed candidate Dispatch! I guess since it could have been only $220 million that makes it OK. That was my retirement money that Lehman's risky investment strategy threw straight down a rat hole!

What, Strickland make unfounded and desperate accusations? Since all he can do is criticize private sector business, it's no wonder Ohio has lost so many jobs on his watch. He ran a positive campaign in 2006 but I guess that's harder to do after four years on solid failure.

Welcome to the 2-party system.

This is why we need third parties, because negative ads don't work so well when you have more than two candidates.

If you have 3 or more candidates, your negative ad is just as likely to drive the voters to a third candidate instead of back to you.

I agree the candidates that we have for the next election is nothing but crooks. Ohio used to be a nice place to live too bad those days are over. We are turnig into another Detroit.

There is a difference between money making, and taking advantage of people. What product did Mr. Kasich produce for his money. Shuffle of paper?

I saw him last night on TV saying he only had a two man office in Columbus of Leman Brothers. He forgot to mention he had a whole company of thousands, behind him, to do the follow up work, and foot work.

I doubt that he ever put a proposal together in the middle of the night like the rest of us. He just had to open a door and move on. Easy money, with no liability or work. He made money off of us. Period.

Is anyone else already sick of the political ads??? Why do we need the ads (which no one can believe anyway)in June when the election is not until Nov?????? In fact, the candidates could save a lot of money by not having these TV ads at all.

Oh, and the telephone calls too!

In order to stop the madness, all Kasich needs to do is release his tax statements.

Kasich can't complain about someone not releasing tax returns several years ago when he refuses to do the same.

I would just like to see a candidate run on his or her record without bashing the other candidate. Unfortunately, not many on either side of the aisle can do that......because they have nothing positive to speak of.....

Yes, let's see your tax returns. Most of the money earned on Wall Street was made from the loss of unsuspecting Americans that invested. Maybe there wasn't an actual law broken but I can sure see moral and ethical issues. This is exactly why we can't vote for this man.

Apparently the folks at the DGA didnt see the polling that came weeks after their first round of negative, unfounded attacks. Kasich up 47-42. After 3.5 years, 400,000 lost jobs, and a 10.9% unemployment rate - Ohioans dont want to hear such baseless attacks from the incumbent Governor. They want to know why we are in such a mess under his watch, and how he plans to fix it. Kasich fixed the federal budget and has a plan to return prosperity to Ohio. Based on the polling, it would appear most Ohioans agree.

There is no truth, nor honor, among politicians. At least with the mafia, there is a code of conduct and very clear consequences if you violate the code.

Can't trust any of them in the two party system....

I'd rather have a person in charge of the state that has some management experience instead of a professional student (Strictland went to schools for over 8 years after high school) and a SIX term member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Reminds me of another inexperienced person he aligns himself with.

My pay has averaged down -$150/wk since Strictland took office. Thanks bud.

It's better he actually worked for the money rather than taking it from lobbyists in Wasington. At least he knows what a REAL job is.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
