So the smear continues. The pension funds were spreading billions around to many different investment firms and Kaisch tried to get some invested in Lehman. So what? Let's look at the billions the Dems have flushed down the stimulus toilet. This is a pitants in comparison. More libdem journalism from the biased CD.

"libdem" - is that a word?

Intelligent readers know that this very Columbus Dispatch - who has essentially endorsed every conservative candidate for public office since the paper existed - is hardly biased - towards the "libdem" side.

Try again, "Big Buckeye Fan".

I can't stop laughing! Anyone with a brain knows the Dispatch will endorse Kasich (if you have been reading the paper lately). This article could have been written much differently. How about a headline - State loses over $200 million with Lehman! The Dispatch gives the incident at the Governor's house front page space and a huge article. When are they going to demand that Kasich release his tax returns?

Real funny! I'll be voting Democrat and work hard every day. It's about greed. I believe in sharing the good fortune I have, but you don't.

Umm, didn't just about EVERY pension plan lose money during this time? Trying to blame Kasich is a real stretch.

"I didn't have anything to do with it." (they lost money); the other scenario would have been if there had been a profit as he shouted from the rooftops- "Since I worked for Fox News and they know everything when it comes to the economy I am proud that I guided these pension funds to invest with my other employer- Lehman Brothers."

He is such a predictable hypocrite.

I beleive The dispatch endorsed Strickland in the Gov's race. Because Mr Blackwell told them to take a hike.

So it's a problem that in 2002 he set-up meetings? In 2002 the markets were rolling along and everyone was fat, dumb and happy about it. The bigger story within this one is why didn't those overseeing these pension funds do something to stop losses during 2008? The way this is written, it appears that they were sitting on their thumbs waiting for the markets to go back up and not actually do anything to protect their investments.

What investing firm actually made money for their clients in 2008? From the headlines I cannot find one. Were all the losses strictly from Kasich trying to attract business to Lehman in 2002? Think again...

It would be interesting to see how much state money has gone to that evil company Goldman or to Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.

I am particularly interested in how much Goldman gave our Republican President Obam in contributions. Oops, thats OK since Obam got the most cash of any public official. What--you mean Obam is not a Republican!!

No "greed" there is there.

Blackwell was one of the worst candidates the Ohio GOP has ever nominated. The last democrat the dispatch endorsed for president was Woodrow Wilson, in 1916. Nearly 100 years of GOP endorsements.

I work hard too, but I'd prefer to share my own money, instead of having the government TAKE it away from me and distribute it as they see fit.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Taurus

Get involved in financial transactions at your peril under today's Lunar Eclipse, because certain people will use them as a stick to beat you with. For instance, if you ask someone to lend you money they'll either make you feel guilty about it or dredge up all sorts of past instances when their trust was betrayed. You would also be well advised to avoid any show of possessiveness or jealousy, even if you feel it, unless you truly don't care about the disastrous outcome.
