Lost in space you are correct, party is over!
We will be lucky to have until Nov.at the North side plant in Sheboygan. The writing is on the wall with the news of moving lines out the door and the bank build starting in April. Does anyone know who is getting the RT Dash and the C-Segment business from our plant?
We are wondering who is getting that work as management refuses to tell us at this time? Please ask around if you would, we have a right to know. Thanks It will be hard but we will get through this some how.

Hey Sidney, Have you heard the news W/R is closing the doors on us here in Sheboygan. Our speculation is that you are going to be receiving our C-segment work and Fremont you will get the RT Dash work from us. Anyone hear anything on this?

C-Segment I believe is for the Dodge Neon. Carpet flooring.

Any of the other IAC plants getting floor space cleared out or added on recently? Maybe about 2500sq ft, maybe one to three footprints like that?
Not that it really matters, what's done is done I guess...

Not that it really matters, what's done is done I guess... Have they announced that you guys are officially one of the IAC's to shut down? Or are they just pulling some of the lines. I took it as it was announced you guys were shutting down but somone said it was just a couple of line being pulled. I work out of Leb. IAC and we are having a huge layoff in June. The Cobalt is phasing out they said only about 60 some people will be left. I don't look for us to last much longer. Best of luck to everyone.

They have not officially announced a shutdown and i am sure they will not until there is a handful left working and then they probably will not because there still will be people working! If they pull the RT Dash and The C-Segment lines out we do not have much left to keep us going, this is our bread and butter. We have the Ford Focus to end in Oct-Nov,which is another big runner for us but with it gone just helps with the phasing out of our plant. We have a couple other Ford lines that we are sure will be moved as well, our guess is that Springfield will get them as they do maslite. So with that said what would be left is a couple woodstock lines which will be moved to our southside plant with about a dozen hourly working so officially they can tell us we are not closing. No it was never announced as a shutdown but the writing is on the wall and we are not stupid people as they may think. So to all of The IAC plants please let us know if you hear of our work coming into your plant because management will not tell us anything and best of luck to all. Lebanon we wish you the best as well.

Our Cobalt line is phasing out that is our main line right now. We will still have some BMW , a small Ford line and a small HHR line. So the same here in Leb. Best of luck to each and every one of you guys. I hope out there, there are more jobs to choose from than here in this rural area, it is either Walmart or Mcdonalds something like that. Not much at all. And right now I think it is even hard to get a job at those places. Again thank you.

It's like watching a systematic gutting of this place in process right now..
RT dash to Fremont PM49 to Sidney Thermoformers to Springfield
Doesn't leave much left that isn't tentatively on it's way out the door already...

I worked at the Sheboygan plant for many years. A good bunch of people who make a quality product. Yes our labor rate was higher than most and it cost more to ship from our location, but we shipped a quality product and made money for corporate, even on programs that were not projected to be profitable. When the chips were down we were the plant that they turned to. Keep you heads up Sheboygan - There is life after IAC and the automotive world. You desever better than you have received ove the past 10 years.
