SHE-Boygan,
Get off your high horse and ask yourself, "self, is this worker a safety conscious person." I DON'T THINK SO!!!
Are you blowing your own horn for getting some stupid worker only days off instead of being fired?!!
IAC SUCKS
i dont know what kind of representation you get, but we are all saftey conscious people. nobody wants any of there coworkers injured or worse to think that is just stupid. as a union rep though you have to do whatever it takes to help your coworker. if you find any flaw in the company disciplinary action it is your responsibility to use that in your favor. not every saftey violation is a clear cut violation. every situation has two sides sometimes people dont honestly know they are doing something wrong. with all the changes in osha and stuff things you have been doing for years safely might be a violation 2marow. it could take a freak accident for anybody to realize that something everyone thought was safe turns out not so safe. my point is without knowing all the details you cant really say to just fire people becouse they got popped for a saftey violation. obviously in shyboygan there are circumstances that make them think somebody might not totally be at fault.

we had a case were a main. man was told to go in a machine while it was running . then he was fired for fixing it and not locking it out buy the same guy who told him to go in . needless to say after a week he got his job back with pay and the maint. supervisor was fired . atleast the company came back on the right person in the end . but bottom line we are all responsible for our own safety . if it may hurt you don't do it .

There is a good chance, the people out on layoff won't be back for awhile. It depends on how close you are. I think the year is 1986 Just remember there are still people out on the 12 weekers that should be back the begining of aug.

Curious: Fremont is correct, you can stop in at the Union office any time during working hours, call the Union office or any Union Representative if you have questions or concerns.
Ask for the date of next members meeting so you can keep up on what is going on.
If you call the plant, they are not going to give you any information or the same old answer, we don't know or have not heard anything!
So give the Union office a call that simple.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Cancer

If you want to make changes to your working environment or career prospects, do your best to get on with your colleagues today. It's a powerful Lunar Eclipse, so the Moon-ruled could encounter opposition as the knives come out. Perhaps someone objects to the way you're doing things, or maybe they're just plain jealous. Ensure that you're acting in everyone's best interests and not just your own, or you'll really land in hot water!
