Anything new happening in Whitby? Has the membership been given any proposals yet? What is happening in plant 2?

No voting has happened on a shelf agreement and the 551 as well as the Camaro have been awarded to JCI. Not looking good for us at Lear Whitby.

I dont believe that any concessions have been given, and I dont believe anybody is trying to steal anyones work. The company is stirring all the shit and trying to pit employee against employee. The laid off workers in Whitby should be the first called back as is in our collective agreement.Bottom Line. Shit happens sorry about your luck.

It will be a staging area to load trucks so the can move all the machines to Mexico Just like LEAR Kitchener

That's right, it's the floor space for the truck build . The Ajax employees are coming in to build the seats. There the only ones who can build them properly without messing it up . Like the Whitby guys have done in the past !!!

Was checking out behind tarp yesterday in Whitby.
Starting to move out line in pieces and get floor cleared for new truck line going in.
Lots of maintenance workers busy during day taking everything apart.
Dovetail is going to be way senority issue is going to be sorted out by individual senority date started and we will be under local 222.
Ajax has 23 members higher than the number 1 guy at Whitby.After that most of the Whitby employees from 86 take up the list with Ajax members with 87 senority mixed in with Whitby 87 senority.
Anyone heard of buyouts going to be offered to the highest 23 people at Ajax before the merge takes place?

WOW , they had all that paperwork behind the tarp too right???? Rather careless of Lear management to leave all that out for you to read .
Did it also say how the Ajax contract was bypassed???? Or perhaps how a similiar legal document with GM was bypassed as well ??? No???? Well I guess you're full of it then !!!!!!
