Lear PETC is a low cost engineering site but i cant project what might happen in the up coming future..
Could anybody project what would be the faith of LEAR Philippine Engineering and Technology Centre (Lear PETC).. Our 3 manufacturing plants here in the philippens had just started cutting jobs and it is expected to cut 2000 more jobs this year end |

PETC laid off another 20+ monthlies associates.
Cebu Plants to follow... |
|
it is very sad when people are being laid off. it is not easy getting a job these days. and from what i have heard laid off people are just being paid 50% of their monthly salary times the number of years they were with the company. How could anyone survive with that? Unless you can get a job that quickly?!

I'm one of the employees that was laid-off last March 12, 2009 and I understand why are they doing that. Actually, it's a blessing on disguise on my part because I'm much happier right now. I'm much happier because of the pay. LOL!
Anyways, Thanks LEAR for every thing and didn't regret that you have laid-me-off. |
|
Lear Cebu, is fast reducing heads. from the previous 3 wire harness plants, its now reduced to 2. And still planning to reduce it to 1. hundreds of employees are loosing jobs.

Looking at the current condition it appears that petc will be going back to the manufacturing plants. You know what will happen next.
With the headcount reduction and merging of groups some are expected be retrenched... with only 50% pay x the number of years. And one more thing, somebody from a top ranking position is doomed to be included. |
