OK. It's time for a little history lesson here. There was a day when unions controlled the country. But thanks to politians who get money for to get the big business whatever they want plus thay can now rig elections.(ASK AL GORE OR JOHN KERRY).There are 100's of people working at low paying jobs that would gladly work for anything that any Lear plant makes.I work at Lear Huron.I will not give these billionaires anything That I worked hard to get .NOTHING.They can close the plant if they want.I don't care. The idiots in Fremont who gave them the moon and the stars are exactly the reason the country is the way it is.Most Lear plants are poorly managed. In Huron many of the higher ups have no experience in doing the job they are doing.I am not worried about this job or any job.I have never looked for work for very long.I can find another job.I know I will NEVER give anything back.Close the plant.I really don't care. The way to beat these people would be impossible task.Getting all the plants to unite will never happen.I figure most of the people that work in any plant can be scared very easy.Like the Fremont plant.I hope they still close the plant. You people are a bunch of chicken hearted idiots.I know one thing. When Ross asks me to give anything up the answer will be NO WAY.Not a penny.I am sure I won't be working at Huron for much longer anyway but at least I can say I never gave up anything the UAW got for me.

you should be gratefull you get what you get now. everybody in this area knows your plant is a dump and you people cant run nothing right anyways. you should thank us here in fremont for all the times we saved your asses in huron when they come to us to fix the shit you guys fucked up to start with. maybe they will close us down, but it will be a business decision for us. you should hope they don't close you down just based on the fact you people are fuck ups and cant do your jobs right.

It would be my guess that when you are scarping the bottom of the barrel..........the only way to look is up. Misery loves company. Most of us are not going to be low enough to join you though.

i could be wrong i just do what i'm told to do at work there might have been some miscommunication in there. i can only go by what my bosses tell me. if i'm wrong i'm sorry! it's still ignorant to wish a plant would close just becouse of a decision we made that has no effect on your lively hood.plus whether its your plant a mexican plant or whoever i think we do more work for other people than we do of our own. i also think you are absolutly right about management. ours have cost us more jobs than they brought in.

Today the Negotiating Committee had a meeting with John Fowler and Mike Renner from Lear/IAC management. Nothing was brought up that wasn't already rumored for a while or known for a while. At this meeting were told that 7 Tufter and 1 Extruder are going to Mexico. This was information that had been planned since Summer of last year. The C-Segment is going to Mexico by early fall. This has also been known for a while since we were only to be the launching point. The Nissan Maxima truck parts are going to be moving to a "low cost U.S. facility". This has been talked about off and on for a while. They also said that they are moving the C-170 dash insulator. This was already to have been gone by now.

John Fowler has declared us at an impasse in negotiation. He is stating there are 2 options. 1, he said they could implement a contract on their own terms. Or 2, they could accept the contract and phase out the work.

Two words sum up what you just read "SCARE TACTICS".

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Sagittarius

Relationships have been going through through testing times since the Solar Eclipse at last month's New Moon in Gemini on May 20. Events may force you to reevaluate the state of a partnership. You may even decide that you need to make some major adjustments if things are to carry on as you would like. During the coming fortnight leading up to the rare second New Moon in Gemini, this may feel like a crisis, but that doesn't mean you should abandon all hope or throw out the baby with the bathwater.
