Isn't just like that...one day your trying to plan a little deserved vacation and next your wondering if you will be able to keep the lights on. Betcha uncle wilbur won't have to worry about that eh?

Well we voted no on all consessions. The company had a list of all our benefits. with a few cents per hour next to each one larger co-payments. larger total out of pocket. Larger co-pay for med. etc etc no overtime over 8 hrs. overtime over 40 hrs instead. Lose tool allowance uniforms. It added up to $1.00 then we voted no to the dollar off our wages. They will go back to negoiate. So if we take a cut it wont be benefits.

thats solidarity ; i mean who wants to take a pay cut and make less for the same amount of work or more which they will try to saddle on you. If Uncle Wilburs people wants to line thier pockets with more money and less for us then what is wrong with us? I say its time to take our jobs and money back from these people who want to make even more off our blood and sweat and live like normal americans again

Iowa City voted yes to concessions today. I guess the speech Mr Beckwith gave to us made a big impression with our members, once again this plant seems to buckle very easy to any demands made upon us. Sorry all.

hot rod(lower case) you and bush should get together and have a crying party, you both are always negative. You both should try the other side. It's a lot better on the bright side.

You are an idiot. By posting that information for everyone to see, you are hurting yourself and rest of the employees in Iowa City.

Thanks Iowa City Lear, any info from other plants on what is going on will be helpful, a $1.00 sucks but they were asking for a lot more originally. As far as you go Iowa City you are an idiot, the damage is already done, what is wrong with keeping other uaw members informed. I understand you are pissed about the cuts I would not be too happy if I were in your shoes but I guarantee we will be asked for cuts in November.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
