It has great schools, businesses and thriving housing market.

Kansas City Southern Adding Jobs in KCMO

Downtown is on track to land dozens of new jobs in the rail industry. Kansas City Southern planned to announce Wednesday that it would create 129 new jobs in downtown Kansas City.

Sounds good, but these are not new jobs. They are jobs that were in Shreveport and moved to K.C. although most of the employees in S.P. chose not to move to K.C. These "new" jobs were more than offset by terminations at the K.C. office.
