Kohls is just going towards the other stores approach. People have been abusing the coupons there for far to long.

Get Real,

You're a complete moron. Oh god forbid the people get a little something from the corporation for a change. I guess you would prefer to watch corporate powers rape and pillage the "people" for the rest of eternity. Fuck Kohls and every other corporation out there. We live in a fascist country and I'll glady spend the extra money and support my local mom and pop business.

You must have returned merchandise in the same period the kohl's cash was issued. Then you will not get the credit for the kohls' cash spent but if you return merchandise outside that period you do get the merchandise credit for the kohl's cash spent. Just wait until the period it is issued to return the stuff. I got merchandise credit back just this month for stuff bought awhile back.

Under the former Kohl's Cash rules...Let's say someone buys a vacuum for $300. They would get $60 in Kohl's Cash. They return the vacuum, get $300 in Merchandise Credit and keep the Kohl's Cash. Then they use the Merchandise Credit to buy a food processor for $300 and get another $60 in Kohl's Cash. They return that. Now they have $120 in Kohl's cash. Do they stop there? No. They keep purchasing/returning and earning Kohl's cash every time.

People scam the system and ruin it for everyone else. You can't blame Kohl's for that.

I guess I don't have a criminal mind. Never think of scamming the system like this. Kohl's should figure out a way to stop the scammers!

I shop almost exclusively at Kohls just because of coupons and discounts. If it weren't for them I would never shop there. They're prices are outrageous!!! I played all the games to get a decent bargain but if I won' be getting back my discounts, I won't be shopping there any more.
I totally understand about the scammers though. Even my own family members do it. When I first told them about Kohls and coupons they were so excited to shop there. Then I find out they were buying huge ticket items only to get Kohls cash and then returning the item. OMG! Then I started to notice how many people were shopping with a stack of e-mail coupons(the ones you get for giving an e-mail address)and/or the newspaper sticky coupons and using only store credit to pay. And having several separate purchases at one time( so annoying) No wonder the cashiers are so snotty sometimes when you have coupons. BTW have any of you ever seen some of the people on e-bay that have tons of Kohls store credit cards and coupons for sale? Why can't they stop those people?
I'm so sick of those greedy scammers that ruin it for everyone else.
Well I guess it's back to Walmart for me :((

First off I work for Kohls and believe me people take advantage of everything they can. We have people coming in with copies of the emails they recieve with the 10.00 dollar off , they make copies and then go to store to store and buy items for 10.00 .....so they are getting it free..if they had 10 copies they are getting 100.00 in free merchandise.....I would love to do this as well but I have pride and do not take advantage of people. they should be ashamed of themselves..and as far as the Kohls cash being taken away ......well you have your choice... refund the return amount to you on your credit card or loose the kohls cash......why would people think otherwise...if you return the merchandise why would you even think you would keep the Kohls cash....you didn't end up purchasing the merchandise.......Does anyone out there realize what this means " for every 50.00 spent you get 10.00 kohls cash" well if you return .you didnt spend it now did you!!!!!! Wake up people!!!!!!!!!

Ha, it's so funny listening to you guys defend Kohl's... "It's like getting paid to shop!" Ever heard that? They built the system.
"Did you know for every $50 you spend you get $10 Kohl's Cash. That's $10 to spend any way you want!"
(not exact words I think...) Or... "Expect great things!" Yea... it was great. Thank you Kohls... I hope you've found some new management. What a bunch of idiots.

Right on badapple i agree with you. It makes me sick to my stomach to hear you people defend kohls. no hassle returns so be quiet and do your job. If you dont like me generating store credit .......then find another place to work and be happy and let me be. Btw......as an employee kohls will replace you. They dont care about the employees i use to work there. So my advice is get all you can from corporations cause they have been bleeding us out of our money too long. And btw.....it is annoying to be offered a 20% discount for opening a kohls charge card. What a scam. Its interesting how no one is commenting on that sam.

I WORK AT KOHLS. If you spend 100 dollars and get 20 dollars in kohls cash, then a week later return 20 dollars, then you have 2 choices. Either get 20 dollars on merch credit and get to keep 10 dollars in kohls cash OR get all 20 dollars back and lose 10 in kohls cash. KOHLS CASH IS A COUPON!!!!! ITS NOT REAL MONEY! ITS SOMETHING YOU EARN, IF YOU RETURN AN AMOUNT THAT PUTS YOU BELOW 50 DOLLARS THEN YOU LOSE THAT KOHLS CASH BC YOU DIDNT SPEND THE QUALIFYING AMOUNT. IF YOU RETURN THINGS IT GETS TAKEN AWAY!! Kohls cash is basically free money, or fake money, or a coupon! when it comes to returning things you get back ALL the money you paid! You dumb people act like kohls is taking your actual money! YOU DONT GET TO KEEP SOMETHING THAT YOU EARNED, BUT TURNED AROUND A RETURNED THINGS! ALL YOU GUYS DO IS COMPLAIN! GO SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE, WE DONT NEED YOUR BUSINESS ANYWAY

Hi Jessica

This shows that Kohls hire dumb people - it is not the kohls cash we rae taking about. It is the rewards cards you get in the mail - it is the doorhangers - it is the stickers from the newspapers. Other places when you return something that you got a deal on - you get the keep the deal for something else. At kohls they just steal your money - it is yours to use and to return and if you return it - you didnt use it so they need to give it back.

This sure is why kohls only hire dumb people - so they believe the bull that kohls sells them !!!!!

Hi Angry

First...out of the 13 comments above Jessica's, numbers 1, 5, 6, 8, 9, & 10 mention Kohl's Cash. That means 46% of the comments talked about Kohl's Cash in one form or another. So you were wrong when you said "it is not the kohls cash we rae taking about."

Second...Are you the same "angry" from Scottsdale in post #1? I know Scottsdale and Tempe aren't to far from each other, and ISP locations can change. Whether you are or aren't, let's use "her" as an example. She shops at Kohl's several times a week. For arguments sake, let's assume "several" is two. That would mean that she shops at Kohl's 104 times a year! Wow! Who needs that much stuff? I'd hate to have her charge card bill. Unless of course she shops & returns, and shops & returns.

Years ago (back in my parents days) people went to the store when they absolutely needed something. They tried on a pair of jeans (per se), brought them home and wore them. No running back and forth to the store buying/returning. And with all the extra time they had, they spent quality time with their families.

Fast forward a decade or 2 and 'angry' is in too much of a hurry to try clothes on (how long does it take, less than 5 mins?) so she buys 5 pairs and returns 4 cuz they make her butt look too big (LOL). While she's there, wow, look at the price of that toaster, and she needs needs needs those awesome suede boots! Only to realize once she gets home that her toaster is still good, and those awesome suede boots have a heel that is a little too high for her, so she'll just return those too!

And angry is mad that she doesn't get to keep her Kohl's Cash/Coupons? SHE BROUGHT THE STUFF BACK! Stop the impulse buying and buy what you need! Then there will be no issue.
