This food is nothing but floor sweepings in a bag anyway. Like Science Diet and Iams - junk food! Even if you're on a budget you can feed your pet well.

So your saying you would rather shop at Walmart or Meijers for your pet food... U are a crazy... Every company out there has some type of recall at any given time... No company out there is perfect and no one person is perfect either... The Kroger Company cares about their customers and pets lives... Krogers is #1 in my book... I will continue to shop their as long as I live... Since when is Kroger for white trash??? It's not... Get over it... Don't shop there if you don't like it... Your negative comments can be kept to yourself... We here don't need to hear your negativity about Krogers or any other grocery chain either... They all have their own brand name of foods and pet foods... It's not worth arguing about either... I think I have said my peace... I'm off to bed, since I work third shift...

If they DIDN'T do the recall, THEN I wouldn't trust them. I've shopped there for 20 years. Never had a problem.

Our dog loves "Old Yellar". More so than higer priced food he was eating. I buy the 55lb bags and put it in smaller containers to keep it fresh.
(Thank god I saw this as today is trash day so I haven't thrown out the bag yet and can check the date)
He normally eats his whole bowel of food ...but with this last bag hasn't been finishing it.
Just noting this in case yours is doing the same thing. Maybe they knows something we don't!
As for Mr "KRogerisforwhite trash" comments ...are you serious? Make sure you don't buy anything from ANY store that ever sold Tylenol while your at it~!
It has to be the "retailers" fault ...right?
I think Kroger has been pretty good about getting the word out when there is a problem. We use one of their "cards" and have had them call us when there is a warrning about a product. That's a lot more responcability than we ever got from GM when they sold us a new car with a POS motor!
That car cost a bit more than a bag of dogfood!

Try feeding him from a bowl and not a bowel and maybe he'll eat. Just a thought:)

Kroger used to be good but the pet food has always been bad,my animals won't eat it and even the barn cats that eat anything refuse it.
Problem with Krogers is the prices are to high.I started noticing prices when I went to other stores and thought wow what a differnce.look at the pinnaple juice its $2.89 or somethign at Krogers and $1.98 at Walmart and thats just one thing. To bad because we shoped at Krogers for years and really like them but there prices have risen to much.

Well if you all think Krogers, Walmart, Giant Eagle and Meijer is all too expensive on pet food then buy it at your local bent and dent stores for less... I actually have one out by me, where I can get busted dog and cat food bags for over half off... Plus certain grocery stores do mark down their dented product to make something for nothing... Its all up to the store manager to make that decision to sell dented cans for less instead of sending it to reclaim for proper credit...

You're either a nutcase or suffering from sleep deprivation, lady.
1. NO ONE said Kroger's is for white trash. You must see or resemble some kind of correlation of that.

2. When is the last time you've heard of Wal-mart, Giant Eagle, or any of the other grocery chains recalling food for either humans or animals?

3. This is a PUBLIC forum. ALL opinions are allowed, maybe not welcome, but allowed, nonetheless.

Yes, you've said your peace. Now let me say mine..........

I think this person posting is just very ignorant, and extremely bored! They obviously spend too much time in the beer/wine aisle.
