Is it worth it to consume meat that may or may not be contaminated? We gamble with our lives everytime we eat a hamburger, especially if topped with tomato, lettuce and onions that come from who knows where and handled by who knows who.It seems like the FDA can't offer any protection and the way the tainted meat is usually discovered is when several people get sick. The animals that are slaughtered and sold to the public are pumped full of antibiotics and growth hormones. No wonder antibiotics aren't working anymore,people are consuming them regularly when they eat meat, building up an immunity to them. Could the growth hormones in the meat have anything to do with the obesity epidemic in this country? Just something to think about.
There are many reasons to avoid meat, but if you must eat it you should buy free range, grain fed meat that has no hormones or antibiotics.
God also gave us instruction on which animals we can eat and which ones to not eat. This is found in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. These are the health laws put in place for us by a loving God who wants to protect us from anything harmful for us.
