I hope this abuse report continues until this place really polices its employees better. This likely had gone on for years b4 this group filmed it.

You must eat pork...so you are telling that as long as they pamper the pig prior to you pan frying your pork chops and tearing into it then it's okay????

I know that it is a slaughter house but come on , atleast give them a enjoyable life while they are on this earth . After all they are bred and raised to keep food on our tables.Makes me sick how the employees become immune to the pain and suffering of these animals, and just seem to think nothing of kicking them around like a soccerball .Come on there is a right way and a wrong way. This is definetly wrong..

So sorry to see yet another video of this animal torture. I am all carnivore but I really don't think any thing I am going to eat needs to withstand any torture before their time is over.

I am glad to see Ohio is leading the way on animal rights laws and minimal care standards but 2025 ? That isn't nearly soon enough for some of the simpler things.

If this isn't enough for your eyes I urge you all to go to you tube and look at the video on the gentle barn and the e6 cattle ranch. Never have been a veal eater because of what I knew, now I have a hard time with dairy aw well.

I would love to find responsible, sensitive farmers here locally that treat their animals with dignity as we would also like. I would patronize those farms as often as possible.

After watching this im wondering why the owners of these farms don't put up camaras to catch these people treating the animals like this.
I know they are raised for our food but no animal should be treated like that.
And for everyone that thinks its ok to treat anything like this before they die, remember you might be in the same position one day when your time on earth is near it's end. do you want to be treated like this?

Well ramen noodles have chicken fat in them. The government can't even get a grip on the country let alone send inspectors out to farms to see what is going on at everyone of them ( sorry off subject ) People just don't care. Everyone is just more worried about how to pay the bills and are most likely buying less meat.I know that I am ..So that might make you feel better just a little bit (glory days)

Penny,
I agree with what you are saying I am a supporter of the livestock care standards board as I grew up on a hog, sheep and beef farm. I must say none of our pigs have every bounched their way around the farm. Our livestock is feed before we sit down to eat.

I am proud to say that I am one a responsible livestock producer. We have a wonderful vet that is able to be at our farm in less than 20 minutes in case of emergency. Due to increased prices in grain and hay we had to make the decision to downsize our cattle heard. This was done to make sure they recieved the best life they could before going to the freezer.

It does seem like 2025 for all the changes to be in effect is far away. But I do know that there have already been changes that are put in effect. All of these are public record if you would like to read about them. I know it is a struggle for alot of farmers to keep up with everything changing and that is why the time frame is so long. As this year will be a horrible year for most farmers because of weather and crop situation.

I know your support of local farmers is greatly appreciated.

I watched the video someone posted and it was funny to read the comment on not giving the pigs pain killers when they were casterated and tail clipped. How do you plan on getting a pig to take a pain killer. Is it going to be an issue when you inject more drugs in the animal. The whole procces takes less than a minute. It looked like that 20 years ago when I did it. Its not economical to put drugs in it and last I checked there isnt many millionare farmers out there willing to put up the cash.
I did the job a few times and its not pretty but its done for a reason. They didnt show them clipping there teeth either. Its part of are modern life that we all come to enjoy. I understand that there should be some rules on living area size but I didnt see anything to far out of the norm other than throwing the pigs as far as they did. If you dont like the way its done, raise your own livestock.
