Judged: 3 1 1 You must eat pork...so you are telling that as long as they pamper the pig prior to you pan frying your pork chops and tearing into it then it's okay???? |

Judged: 6 3 1 I am glad to see Ohio is leading the way on animal rights laws and minimal care standards but 2025 ? That isn't nearly soon enough for some of the simpler things. If this isn't enough for your eyes I urge you all to go to you tube and look at the video on the gentle barn and the e6 cattle ranch. Never have been a veal eater because of what I knew, now I have a hard time with dairy aw well. I would love to find responsible, sensitive farmers here locally that treat their animals with dignity as we would also like. I would patronize those farms as often as possible. |

Judged: 3 3 1 I know they are raised for our food but no animal should be treated like that. And for everyone that thinks its ok to treat anything like this before they die, remember you might be in the same position one day when your time on earth is near it's end. do you want to be treated like this? |

Judged: 6 3 2 I agree with what you are saying I am a supporter of the livestock care standards board as I grew up on a hog, sheep and beef farm. I must say none of our pigs have every bounched their way around the farm. Our livestock is feed before we sit down to eat. I am proud to say that I am one a responsible livestock producer. We have a wonderful vet that is able to be at our farm in less than 20 minutes in case of emergency. Due to increased prices in grain and hay we had to make the decision to downsize our cattle heard. This was done to make sure they recieved the best life they could before going to the freezer. It does seem like 2025 for all the changes to be in effect is far away. But I do know that there have already been changes that are put in effect. All of these are public record if you would like to read about them. I know it is a struggle for alot of farmers to keep up with everything changing and that is why the time frame is so long. As this year will be a horrible year for most farmers because of weather and crop situation. I know your support of local farmers is greatly appreciated. |

Judged: 3 3 2 I did the job a few times and its not pretty but its done for a reason. They didnt show them clipping there teeth either. Its part of are modern life that we all come to enjoy. I understand that there should be some rules on living area size but I didnt see anything to far out of the norm other than throwing the pigs as far as they did. If you dont like the way its done, raise your own livestock. PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) |
