again I say if you don't want to live near the casino, the race track, or a gas station, then go buy something in the country. Oh I forgot, by the time that you move, then others will start building near you. Grow up people! I am sure there are other things out there worth fighting for, so quit fighting progress. Go volunteer somewhere or do something worth fighting for. Find something useful for all that energy and hot air(coming out of your mouth)!!!

the udf store is not run by foreigners.
the one time i went to duke the clerk was not foreign. i really don't consider this area clintonville its more south worthington

I usually get my gas at my local UDF instead of the Marathon accross the street from it. Also, the Marathon is owned and run by foreigners. My 19 y.o son can easily buy alcohol at Marathon, but not at UDF. They don't seem to be held to the same standards as the American owned businesses.

The problem in Clintonville is the location. It will be 240 feet from a elementy school and across the street from the Ohio Stats school for the Blind.

To address several comments:

Turkey Hill is a subsidiary of Kroger and have different management. Therefore, just because there is a Kroger located 2 miles away doesn't mean that is the best place for this particular concept. I am sure Turkey Hill did their research and this is the best site they could find to target this particular market.

So big deal if there is an elementary school and school for the blind nearby? Is there something about 24 gas stations that attract grade school and blind kids to these facilities late at night. Graceland is right down the street. I would assume it creates more traffic that could run over a kid than a single gas station.

For those who are opposed to this because the convenience store will sell alcohol. Aren't there bars and restaurants located nearby that serve alcohol?

What do you naysayers suggest goes on this unsitely vacant lot that would be economically feasible for an investor? Or are you happy to just leave it vacant?
