its about whT we ahould do about a manager who likes to spy on her employess at the manchester,nh mall. she makes them fell like crap. Ive seen her on many times there handing things off to other people to do where she could do it herself. she gives them little to no hours for work. she expects them to survive on what they have, Its impossible for someone to make ends meet. let her try it on the pay she gives us and the few hours that we get, you can;t do it and stay above water.

You know, in the midst of all the changes, J.C. Penney forgot one very important thing...the customer is always right!! I worked in retailing for over 20 years and I knew from day one that this strategy would not work. It wasn't just about taking the coupons away it was about changing the pricing strategy; about eliminating certain name brands; about their merchandising in general. And to implement that just before a major holiday...total disaster. I for one stop shopping J.C. Penney and took my dollars to Bealls Florida. They kept the coupons and honored them with a smile. Now that's how you treat a customer!!

I like the new JCPenny. I shop there now and prefer it this way. Much better for the consumer...

JC Penney did more than just take away the coupons. Remember the surveys? You got 15% off your next purchase when you completed the survey. That's gone. I do like the new pricing structure but what's missing is the volume to choose from. There were many more brand names before the takeover. And that's what set JC Penney apart from your typical Target or Walmart even. It was just a very drastic change. It wasn't all about the coupons.

I agree, even though the prices are reasonable on some items it's really hard to get used to all these changes. the customer service is horrible. It also doesn't make it any better that they are getting rid of many brands, brands that people really liked. The new concept of "shops" it's still up in the air if it's going to work. Target does the same in having "shops" and then again not all items seem to sell well, so I would think for a place that only sells clothes it's going to be a bigger challenge. As a consumer you go where you find better prices.

stories are being told about the ft. smith jcp store. things are amiss there! one story tells of a new manager, she being reported to bring an alcoholic beverage to work, and imbibes and disperses the alcohol to other associates. all (including said manager) are going from this behavior, then back on the floor to service customers!

What does this say about the store that always relied on it's name as a nice place to shop? jc penney's doesn't need to change--it always was a name that sold itself! trying to cut down on paying reliable, good help is being replaced by unreliable, not-so-good management who could care less, because they will be paid less! this is not a good way to promote a store founded years back by a man who believed in the golden rule!

the agenda has changed to promote things Mr. Penney would have objected to, if he were still alive!

As long as they promote the sin of homosexuality sales will continue to go down. Its easy to figure out, sales started down with this homosexuality kick.
