They are NOT consolidating the work across the U.S., they are moving it ALL to Wisconsin. Quad might help you find a job but they will not let you transfer. They have no use for anyone that had any connection to World Color. Take my advice and get out as quickly as you can - meaning = take whatever sub-pay and/or training they will give you and run.

Also moving work to Martinsburg W.V. I transfered with them from Corinth to Martinsburg and now working in Franklin Ky. They r shutting down the bindery completely on April 21 and there is 120 plus people up here losing there jobs. There will b approx 178 left. Running 6 heavier presses which r all not running now.

I will b moving back home n May. I am through with printing completely.

I feel terrible for those who came to Jonesboro from Dallas, Dyersburg and other plants only to have to go through all of this again.

Quad does not give a shit about any of us. We'd all be smart to find work for a totally different company ASAP.

EXACTLY...totally AGREE.... at least they got what they wanted which was our customers and now we are out a job....the customers who remain are not gonna pull out til the day we close....so that tells you who has our backs and that is our customers and not our employer. So SAD that business has to be ran this way and people arent really appreciated by its EMPLOYER. Where is the closest competitor to Quad to find a job with from Jonesboro Arkansas.

Im sorry to here that Joel is still closing plants I was in the first round of layoffs at the
dickson plant but I guess I got lucky I am already working and have been for a few weeks I now work for a company that I beleive really cares about their employees(WHAT A SWITCH) they beleive a happy employee is a produtive imployee this place has never layed anyone off and run full speed ahead no it is not in printing. But printing is a dying field anyway and QUAD does not give a Dam about you.Joel is just a spoiled little rich kid who has had everything given to him from his daddy. He doesnt know how it is to struggle to raise a family all he wants is to put as many people as he can out of work to put more money in his pocket. Bad case of corp. greed. The one thing that you can count on is come judgement day then he will answer to a higher power becase he can not buy his way into heaven.

Why would they want to keep anyone from a company that failed? Couldn't keep your own doors open, not going to let you drag the company that bought you out down too.

Hey HMFIC up your ass. World Color failed due to a owner that wanted to ne number one by buying as many plants as he could with no regard to how he is going to pay the bills. The workers in these plants are hard working good people. Joel is doing same thing buying up everything. Quad will go down to but it is not because of the workers it is due to mismanagement.

I'm glad it's finaly over here.Tired of having to think about it everyday.I've moved on and so will other's.But what are you going to do fool.Since Quad took over, so many title's have left just because it's Quad an no other reason.Elle just went to Brown to get away from Quad.Worldcolor had them for almost 30 year's.Quad had hem for how long less than 2.They were not the first to leave because of it just being Quad. Not mad just glad it's over.Worldcolor will always be a better printing company than Quad. But the same in one way, both had, an have a cock sucker for President.Good day to all!!!

I wished Quad would have been honest from the start, but they come in saying trust us, give us a chance, u can believe in us are way is so much better. Yeea it was better alight take all our jobs and then leave us with all the crappie jobs and then fianlly close the plant. I feel like a fool i trusted in Quad but i guess that what they want. A family company yeah if ur Joel he didnt care and that he was destorying peoples lives.
I will be losing 100 percent on my income yet im glad that im getting away from Qaud and their cult like business. To anyone thinking about workikng for Quad dont do it u will reget it big time worse COMPANY EVER. Jonesboro is still the best sux it Joel..........

Has anyone heard any news on the MA and CT plants? Have not seen Craig in probably a year. I think he is a smurf and all talk. Seemed like a nice guy. It is a real shame that Quad is so blind to the talent they are losing. All of the QuebecorWorld employees have adapted to a lot of changes and are good people. Giving these people horrible score cards just because of who they worked for previously is going to be their down fall. It is very interesting to read everyones comments. To bad no one who cares about ALL the employees comments. They can solve all the problems in the war room. LOL.

All the automation brought in to help and make your jobs easier and you ran slower. Look inward. By the way Hearst left because they do not want all their work printed at one company .

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. The automation thrown in was not installed in a coordinated way. Add that to the fact that most was old equuipment moved in from other places, no adequate training was given, and the equipment didn't work properly. Loaders and cranes were installed in the bindery but most of the presses could not produce logs for this to be efficient. Without the proper equipment in the pressroom, this made the bindery slower. We made money every year until Quad came in. According to the Blue Menace, our way was broken and backwards. I'll take a broken and backwards system that makes money any day over a new and improved cult way that comes to a complete stop if any deviation occurs. Walk this way, talk this way, look this way, everyone is the same. Sounds familiar. Communism is based on the same priniciple. History has shown this system will fail. The same fate will fall on Quad.
