International Paper Gets $71.6M Tax Credit

International Paper Co . said Tuesday that it recently received a tax credit in the amount of $71.6 million from the Internal Revenue Service related to its use of alternative fuel.

this is bad they are taking tax payers money at a clip of over a trillion dallors a year with this credit to cut down trees not one but them benifit from the alternitive fule and we pay them this much for it im shocked I thought we were going green in this country?? No lets pay them to cut down more trees and cause now its cheaper to do that then to make paper at the recycle mills

IP sucks....taking taxpayer monies for doing nothing more than adding diesel fuel to a by product of the paper making business.

There needs to be some serious lobbying against IP getting any tax credit of anykind since all there doing is spending us tax dollars in other countries putting in new mills and machines and cutting the throats of the very tax payers whom the money came from, hence the workers of the mills they are closing. This is whats wrong in this country, and the government is doing nothing. Lets lobby hard for know tax credits for IP and let them just move all ther buisness to other countries and let the buisness that wants to be here
