Interstate stock down big. Company showing no signs of turnaround in 2 years they have been in bankruptcy. Why doesn't Sara Lee or Flowers buy the brands?

That will happen as shareholder activism takes hold. If they liquidate the company at close to 1x revenues the stock will be worth at least $10!!

"Interstate stock down big. Company showing no signs of turnaround in 2 years they have been in bankruptcy. Why doesn't Sara Lee or Flowers buy the brands?" Why would they want to pay for something that if they just wait long enough will be off the market?

it is simple, IBC, wants it to fail, every move they have made has been wrong. they are done with the union, benifits, etc, they knew when they went to the union for more concessions, it would be turned down, the whole thing is a joke. they do not have a clue, how to turn it around, and it is too late anyway. we have lost the market. BAD management for years. look between the lines, they want it to FAIL.

I don't know what is going on around other areas of the US, but as for here in NC...The merita guys received letters stating that they had 16 days before possible liquidation of the company. Anyone else heard anything of this...We as independent distributors are bracing for the worst for them and have already started arrangments with taking on new customers... I hate it for the route guys_____but the company and union has got what they deserve!!!!!!!!

Lead by example. Let's see some house cleaning of dead weight. Ineffective account execs, created positions, no accountability for pricing and contract blunders. Put the tools in the hands of the people that work. How much money did we lose on these videos. What other useless projects can we waste money on. Cut corporate payroll and waste. Sale what sales thats what WE do.

The union already made 16 million in concessions for 5 years. Corporate payroll for 1 month is 9.4 million.

Well we are down to 10 days now as comapny counts, they want everyone to panic and give in to their concessions. With 8300 jobs cut and concessions given the comapny is saving over 20 million a yr,plus the sale of 100 million in assests already, and yet they cant turn the company around? At GM the CEO took a pay cut right along with the line workers but not at IBC The Union is right to stand their ground on this one, the company wants more than they should expect anyone to give. The pay cuts would reduce most of us to where we are at 23 yrs ago. The problem is in Kansas City not out in the sales force.

Shares of the bankrupt Kansas City maker of Hostess Twinkies and Wonder bread — facing the possibility of having to liquidate if it doesn’t gain concessions from its two largest unions — fell to 50 cents, a drop of almost 29 percent, before closing down 5 cents at 65 cents. Mr. Jung, if you want any further consessions then it will have to come from the top down! You will not succceed trying to "BUST" the unions. Stop with the propaganda and remove 'ALL" unneccessary upper management that this company has. You have not provided any evidence to the employees of this company that you have even attempted to look at reducing cost with-in. How do you think you can get anyone to buy into your new proposed "path to market" strategy if you don't start with cleaning your own house. If I were a potential investor that would be my #1 question. Cosolidate bakeries, work them at capacity not a 35 or 50% of their capabilities. Streamline operations, cut, cut, cut. Does this company even have a logistics manager? Does anyone really know how to get our product from a bakery to market in the most efficent way??? It is scary to think on a daily basis, never mind monthly or yearly the amount of money that is wasted with the inifficiencies this company has. The time has come not for the employees to make the concessions, it is time for management to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Where are the courts and this bankruptcy judge who over saw negotiations on the contracts. Everything had to be approved by the judge. Now comes Jung and all his ideas.$75,000.00 a month to figure out how to steal money and benefits (that we have earned) from the people who do the work. Who's approving all this. Here's an idea! Go out sale something to the customers, besides this lame idea to us. TEAMSTERS STAY STRONG BCTGM STAY STRONG NO concessions Sept. 30 They can concede!
