WOW this is even low for this company. Don't tell employee's what is going on. Then the customers hear this and start calling competitors because they are worried we won't be there anymore. Another great move by the Wonder Clowns(Management).Brillant Ha so glad I am done with your loser management.

The beauty of when a company closes shop is when the "management" get to go to there next career-who they swallowing for this week????? IF ANY present IBC workers feel the need to de-certify they are absolute fools. De-certify today Management bonuses tomorrow. Everyone puts the blame on the union-wake up what was the last corperate decision Teamsters were in charge of?????? I'll bet if they made a few "ibc" would be running better and making money-not paying outrageous salaries to the "people" that got them in bankruptcy to begin with. The last thing union members need to do is squable amongst themselves right now stick together-tell "ibc" to stick it up there's. Good Luck to ALL Teamsters

Dearest Done--Why on earth would employee's be told that is the first group to "give" concessions. You were probably in Management with them earlier in your "career".

I can feel it in the air. Anyone with a good dose of common sense would know it's not an employee issue but a management issue! Micro-management( planograms and marketwide specials) in a marketplace that flucuates from neighborhood to neighborhood and store to store just weights down the route salesman and prevents him from making a his route profitable for him and the company! All indications are that the unions have bent over backwards for this misguided bunch and have done everything possible to try to save the company. The product lines packaging appears to be outdated and quality of their product leaves a lot to be desired

I came into this company not knowing anything but knowing I neede a pay check. After being there for no more than a week I saw the lack of Management and communication from TOP to BOTTOM! This company deserves to be sold to someone who can take these Great products and market them better. IBC has lost control and will never gain the trust of thier employees back. SELL and cut your losses. ITS OVER!

You dont know the hell you are talking about. the union people make less money than non union peple.

Breadman, I work for the same company as you do and I know for a fact that the union employees at the plant in Rocky Mount that keeps you employed DO NOT make more money than the non union employees. The union people work three times harder than the non union people.

Here's the facts for some of you who actually believe the bull that Hostess fed the media 1) Union workers gave millions back in concessions last bankruptcy, which makes our unions workers the least paid in this industry 2) the pensions, wages and everything else Hostess said about union jobs being the main reason for this new bankruptcy are the only things that were on target in their projections when they exited bankruptcy last time around. 3) IBT/Hostess workers have voted 90% in favor of a strike if the court allows Hostess to do away with union contracts. Enough is enough plain and simple. It is not the union workers but the mismanagement of this company in all aspects that got them back into hot water again. STOP blaming the unions and use some common sense people.

Are you insane. This is nothing about the union. This is about bad management decisions. We gave up 150 a week pay cut to bring the company out of bankruptcy 2 years ago. then back into it and then giving the ceo a raise for a job well done. So research our comment before you look stupid. Im living it for 16 years. watching ceo,s drain this company.

If corporate would listen to employees for a change, or maybe better said "would have listened", instead of sitting on their "bleeps" gathering their fat salaries and bonuses, maybe they could afford to pay their obligations. union members have given up enough, let the ceo give up his pay, retirementplan, and insurance.

Thank you Crazy, I know we have had our disagreements on here, but bottom line is, and what many don't seem to realize ~~ The majority of Hostess workers are (or use to be) proud to work for this company. We have watched it get worse and worse year by year, all hoping corporate would pull head out of A**, hoping that maybe they will listen to what we have to say about how to turn this company around.... we are out there everyday listening, hearing, knowing what we need to do, telling our direct bosses that whatever new corporate "plan" of the month they throw our way is not going to work...but we are ignored. None of us want to loose our jobs, I doubt any of us can afford to loose our jobs, we have given, given, given to the point we really are not going to loose much more than what they have already taken from us by striking. AND to all the other unions in this company I say WTF, you are useless and all members should kick you to the curb. I have friends who belong to 2 other unions in this company, when I asked them what their unions are planning on doing when Hostess filed to throw out all the contracts, the answer was "We are waiting to see what the Teamsters do" REALLY? Wow good job, your worth every penny your members pay you. Also they tell their members NOTHING about what has been going on in court, and why I make it a point to fill them in every chance I get..hell, they didn't even know about Hostess Corporate big wigs getting caught giving themselves big pay increases after they stopped paying into the pensions...UNBELIEVABLE
