Heartland Express to replace onboard computing system with PeopleNet

so bottom line if you had the choice to work for Heartland Express or Martin Trucking which would be the better company

heartland is a 300 mile a day company that does not want the driver to think of anything
if they want you to they will tell you

heartland is a short to medium haul company. 300-500 per day. money is great.

I worked for both of them.Between the two,Marten is the better choice.I retired from marten after 3 years and i liked it there.All companies have their ups and downs but heartland is all downhill believe me.Marten s trucks all have apu s in them with 1500 watt inverters.They run peterbilt and freightliner with some kw s.I got treated with respect at Marten.They always got me home on time and if i needed more time off i just called my fm.Insurane is better at Marten also.Good luck in your choice and happy trails.Wayne.
