this poll is bogus, when you poll on the USC campus and with the LA TIMES you might expect a result that is waaaaaay off. The real number is closer to 2.5.

Old is Gold! The nice thing about Brown is he doesn't even remember his past mistakes so there's a bit of a silver lining here.

We're doomed. He is senile and doesn't even have coherent thoughts anymore. Terrifying. Guess I'd better get to Oregon and "hide" some more of my money in gold coinage!!

It never ceases to amaze me how two sided we can be. We get angry when a politician takes money from special interest to run a campaign. Now I'm reading that when someone has personal money to use and is less likely to be bought off we don't like that either. If a candidate is going to run they have to have the money to do it. There is no way around it.

With the loss of personal privacy and the two sided expectations of the populace why in the world would anyone want to run for public office? It's a no-win situation. It is no wonder to me that we always feel like we are choosing form the lesser of two(three, four...) evils. Anyone with an ounce of sense stays well away from political office. We never have the best person for the job to choose from.

California will pay a heavy price for such foolishness. Career politicians like Brown are the cause of the problems destroying this nation and this state and electing one as Governor to the benefit of special interests is simply more of the same nonsense that got us here. If the vote goes as the polls predict, we in California will fully validate that we are a foolhardy bunch.

You know, the Real Clear Politics average of polls only has Brown up by 6.5 points, not the 13 points of the LA Times Pool. Perhaps the Times Herald reporters should dig just a bit deeper and learn how to use Google. Or maybe, they are just shilling for Brown and the Democratic Party. Either way, the news paper should really tell the news.

America NEEDS a Taxpayer's Union; they can't put US all in jail. Terd Brown is nothing more than a inside schill moving to the tugs of every corrupt union in our state. Each of us should ask themselves; "Do I want a businessman (woman) in charge of my future or do I want a failed political stooge who answers to the call of CTA, IBEW, ILWU, SEIU"? Hide your money.

I guess we can see why the polls are about as reliable as the political desires of those who conduct them. The spin from the democrat camps is reaching hurricane level, they must see that the end is near. Maybe the great leader can arrange for a few boatloads of virgins to be waiting on the night of 11-2-2010, they may choose to break out the vest's an shout....Allah Akbar!!!!

You didn't really think Whitman ever had a chance did you?
What a pathetic disgraceful campaign. If I were her and I just blew 150 million on a failed campaign I'd have myself locked up so I wouldn't kill myself.

Think of all the children this money could have helped, the schools it could have helped, the communities around the state it could have helped.

They should burn her at the stake for this atrocity.

A greedy pig who doesn't know the value of a dollar.

The unions spend more than that every year. Maybe we should quit allowing them to siphon taxpayer money from its intended purpose? Then politicians like Meg wouldn't have to spend 1/4th that amount, and more money could go to a worthwhile cause instead of the union cause.
