Wonder what are the relative level of these heavy-metal elements in the processed foods, dietary supplements, and drug ingredients and drug products produced in China as compared to those same substnces produced in Canada and the USA, for those that are still produced in Canada & the USA?
Would not be surprised if they are also about 3 times or more higher also.

Anybody who purchases a Chineese product should just expect a little poison and consider it a bonus if it's poison free.

Uh... in the USA, our General Accounting Office (now Govt Accountability Office) condemned Lax Oversight of pesticide residues on tobacco. The GAO only picked on 47 out of about 450 pesticides registered for tobacco use. Why those pesticides continued to be permitted is a question....a question all of those who pretend to be "concerned" about Smoking & Health fail to ask.

So, maybe one can blame some of the Chinese cig adulterants on nature...what comes from the soils, etc. but this pesticide thing is about Corporate Crimes of Reckless Endangerment of Millions of People, Experimentation on Millions of People Without Informed Consent--and the subsequent crimes of evading civil and criminal responsibilities for that.--Not to mention the fraud of calling the products "tobacco" when, instead, it is Pesticide-Contaminated Tobacco. That's a BIG difference. It's the difference between Drinkable Water and Toxic Run-off.

Also, in the USA, even the EPA had to acknowledge presence of dioxins in (typical) cigarette smoke. Dioxins cannot come from tobacco plants. That dioxin (easily the most deadly industrial substance) can come only from industrial chlorine which is in typical (not all) cigarettes because Public [sic] officials STILL allow use of chlorine pesticides and chlorine-bleached paper. If one wants an example of conscience-free homicidal psychopathy, look no further.

By the way, though there can be natural arsenic in some soils, arsenic is also in some pesticides. It's the source of the arsenic that has big relevance here. And, it's the dose that counts. Arsenic, in proper dose, a heart medicine.

China has managed to screw up everything they send here, makes you think it is deliberate. I buy and sell "Made in the USA" whenever I can, any country other than China when I can't.

Cigarette manufacturers need to save money considering excise taxes.... that means less quality control...

Cigarette smokers are also stupid and they take more breaks at work so they can smoke
If the cigarette manufactures can use additives to hasten their death, then that would always be a good thing
I see that if I had made this post Bee, Peeps, and Check, would have been on here by now, BUT seeing it was one of the people that go by Life Coach NOT a one of them has come on here and said anything.
What is " THOS" and "YO"?
I thought LIFE COACH was a devote Catholic?
LIFE isn't helping somebody commit suicide against your religion?
And here you are promoting that the cigarette manufactures " put in additives to hasten their deaths"
Isn't that promoting suicide?
all four of you are a bunch of HYPOCRITES.
I think LIFE COACH should change his screen name to DR Kevorkian.
Life if being an IRISH CATHOLIC means being one of the biggest HYPOCRITES and liars on the web I don't ever want to be one.

One more time.
First of all I see Spelling BEE , Spell Check, and Grammar Peeps, won't say a word to anybody that posts under the name LIFE COACH.
IF I had made the last post LIFE Coach made they would have been on here long ago.
What is " thos" and " YO"?
OH yes I forgot it was a LIFE COACH whom made that post so they don't have the guts to say anything.
I guess being a little "LIFE COACH" you don't dare to say a word against the " Big Guy".
Can you all say HYPOCRITE?
Life I thought you were a devote IRISH CATHOLIC?
Isn't promoting suicide against your religion?

Didn't you say that the "Cigarette manufatures can use additives to hasten their deaths"
Isn't that promoting suicide?

There was a NY Times series on pollution a decade and some back, and one installment dealt with birth defects, miscarriages, and stillborn infants among the populations downstream from the country's fertilizer plants, which were being touted by the government as part of their advance into the worlds technological society.

The most misshapen babies were doted on if all they managed to do was be alive.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Scorpio

You're in a very romantic and sentimental state today. You're also feeling quite sensitive and vulnerable, so you won't want to be around anyone you find abrasive or aggressive. If you meet someone for the first time now you'll think they're wonderful and your relationship will always involve putting them on a pedestal. But don't be too idealistic. They are human, remember!
