You know it's not easy running a business from either side... People want a honest day's pay for an honest day's work and the company wants the same! This is the time when we all need to pull together and learn from our mistakes on both sides. Hopefully we can do that with little or no more job's lost, but it will take everyone! I think maybe the employee's should look at what the Union really does for them, and question how they really help? I have not seen anything good come out of the union, except for a creation of us verses them. What are they doing for us?

Sorry to hear that Harley had to take that miserable step and let staff go. That is not a easy thing to do like most think it is. Companies do not build up to only lay off later. They know just like the rest of us this is bad. As for the imports in comparison I can honestly say that I have tried all them and will take the Harley over all. I had the Kaw1500nomad water cooled and it over heated and boiled over just the same. They get hot and not much can be done about it. I know many a gold wingers who can not do the traffic during bike week for the same reason. No company in its right mind wants to layoff staff. This is only done when there is no other option. We all Americans want to make that big check and employers want to give it if they can. This down turned economy sucks for all.

Thanks for the appreciation of us supporting the economy. If we at harley fall and other Union jobs fall York County will feel the pain and it will resound across the State od PA and the USA. Got your back also, IAM, Teamsters, etc...

The first one is very possible.......... as for the later 'hope' that will never happen..........to many hands in the pockets of the boyz from da Harrisburg hood that control that. Enjoy your 'bypass' for what it is "by" meaning around (aka, sitting around) and "Pass" means something you can never do even with 6 lanes on the west end.

Blame the big guys,CEO's etc. Not the averge Joe that's just trying to put food on the table for his family! Put food on the table??? Please!!! Not all of us get to eat filet mignon every night. Welcome to the real world. You people need to realize that when your union strangles the company you work for, eventually it dies.
