I have done quite a bit of riding in Vietnam. Best way to travel is along HWY 1 which takes you the whole way from HCMC to Hanoi past all the best spots. Your better off getting a scooter than a motorcycle - and the best ones are from Beeline Discovery Asia www.beelineasia.com as they have about 8 drop off points in Vietnam and have some tricked up bikes kept in as new condition.
