Harley-Davidson tax fight with Central York School District enters court

Another reason to eliminate property taxes and replace with income/sales tax. It's harder to argue that you didn't have income or buy something than what the value of your property is.

just leave this darn town already.. im so sick of these companies getting away from paying taxes and we the citizens have to make up for it

If Harley wins, you know what the school board will do? Do you think they will reduce spending to make up the difference? NO. They will raise taxes and continue to hand out OUTLANDISH salary increases to administrative staff. It is time for this school board and administration to stop this wasteful spending.

Didnt Harley just get 15 million from the state of PA(Taxpayers money) Give the 15 Million back to the State plus interest and then we will see about the taxbreak, not a problem.If the State is generous enough to aid this ailing company, that is outsourcing local jobs overseas, than I think the school taxes should go up, not down.Unless of course Harley decides that it is REALLY made in the USA. Any corporation that is exclusive to the United States should get bonus points, any one expanding to India, for example, should pay more.And another thing, Harley keeps bragging about their enormous profit margins, after raping Union members of benefits,pay,etc.... Share the wealth!
