I care because he is telling the truth. We are the escape goats for most of the stores.

Greg wrote: @Mike at least we can differentiate between there, thier, and they're One thing these early morning need to do is readjust their attitudes. They make more noise on this forum and do so very little for customers like us. Typically we get to the store just as they open to pick up stuff for the job. Because we travel all over the country and visit different stores, we do not always know if you carry certain products, rent certain tools, or know where we can get items you are out of or don't carry. While the overall quality of the sales people have gone down hill(replacing knowledgeable people with young kids), the worst are these so called met that act like you are interrupting them if you need some help. We are now and probably will always be X customers.

WOW, i've met member wrote: except of course for those of you who trade on margins wink wink. I'm going to let u in on a secret that no one is suppose to know the truth that my old DM told me along with all the district 220 MET members apparently HD is going to start firing a lot of regular in sore associates because they figure why pay regular in store associates when we can call it the "merchandising execution teams" and get the vendors to pay them. coincidentally store managers are not doing there associate any favors by using the met team as store coverage which is an extremely common practice in D 220 and I'm sure this is something happening all over the country. by now you may have figured that yes i am a former MET member. so really what the vendors should do and a lot of them are starting to do as they figure out the kinda bull shit HD is trying to pull is tell them to go fuck them selves and that if they what to sell there product than they need to use the merchandisers directly employed by the vendors them selves

Those complaining about the MET probably live in a poorly served area, and should talk to at MET supervisor, or manager about improoving their service level. Or team in the Northeast has no problem getting the job done, and has a reputation with our stores of outperforming the previous vendor services. Perhaps instead of complaining you should find out why there's a problem and help find a soloution.

Why do aprons ignore items that do not belong in a bay or are clearly broken, expecting MET to take care of it for you? Stop whining and start working with MET to take care of the store. You get paid to put things in their proper spots. If MET has a basket full of stuff shoved improperly into bays, there's some really lazy, clueless or uncaring aprons out there who have no pride in their store. Why else would there be so much stuff to remove from the bay? Get a job ... Oh. That's right. You already have one...you just don't do it. Then blame MET for your bad performance. I hear McDs is hiring people of your calibre.

That's funny, I often find that when dealing with bays after the MET people "fix" them. I am MET wrote: Why else would there be so much stuff to remove from the bay? You're too nearsighted to think of any other reason why this might be happening? It's ONLY because of the employee, right? I'm glad to hear that you believe all stores are adequately staffed and perfectly able to keep departments looking great.

Look at how bays used to look before MET. top notch! some met members do a great job! bottom line, hours have been changed to fill power hours, no more 2 openers to set 1 bay like met has. except for faucets, thatls always been a vendor group :D i.e. the 2% of sales goes to met to maintain bay integriy, 100 hours / week goes to bias to change prices and sequence(btw... where is 66-095???), and the store associates are only reviewed by their customer service(except garden....well.. and lumber. although they are task heavy departments! horray!!!
