hey jill you must tell us all about your top-notch education, so we can understand how you gained your lofty position? if your working for the home depot, someone should have told you that you don't need an education to work there! so...education is obviously not a sign of honesty, morals, or ethics;o) shame on you!!

sig225 in many states as long as 1 party is aware of the recording they are not laible to tell the other party. it is easy to tell when a call is being recorded, there is a small beep you will hear about once a minute

Correct and that is one of the reasons why they do not record the calls. The vendor has no way to know which state you are calling from...

----------As I said in in the prior thread about organizing the VOC-----Who is going to believe someone who has "17+ years experience in district and corporate level positions with Home Depot"? You have spent too much time as a corporate shill to be believable.------Are you a TROJAN HORSE full of spies and lies?-----iNDEED we have no caller ID anymore. I also notice that you block your location----another red light-----nak nak nak!

Awarelines calls are handled by a third party and if they did record the call, they would be required by law to inform you that the call was being recorded.
The Awareline and the EOC survey (not VOC) are your most effective tools for stirring the pot or throwing a bad manager under the bus.
Corporate shill? Here is my original post. Did you even read past the first sentence?

Here is the bottom line- The third party company which handles Awarelines (Corporate Compliance Inc) does not record calls.

Now I see why so many people who have direct knowledge and just want to help don't bother with forums like this...

----------Sometimes it is hard to look in the mirror and see how people feel about you.-----Managers at home deephole surround themselves with brown nosers and yes men to the point that they lose track of reality. If you want real feedback, then you should spend more time in these forums and see how most people really think. Again, I have no personal knowledge as to how these aware lines work, but I have personally seen two employees that made calls on the aware line be confronted and eventually be terminated because a target was put on their backs after making the calls.

Work in Windsor ontario store 7228. Our store is a complete joke. Our store manager Linda shows up at work during the midnight shift half in the bag. Managers who do nothing but kiss ass get everything. "John"!! If you try to be a good associate you are ignored but women who cry and men who lie through there teeth get badges. Can't stand that I work for this company anymore. A shake up in this storeis needed.

Curious, with all the injustices that Home Depot forces onto it's workers, why is it most employees do not want a union. Work schedules, benefits and raises would all improve. If paying dues is a problem, workers need to see the benefits.

Cause the american worker vis a vis a union is endangered.

You can thank Reagen and Clinton for that..

30 years ago when Reagon killed the air traffic controller union, not one other union batted an eye. They let it happen..

Under Clinton we lost the manufacturing base because of NAFTA.

Now we all log on here and bitch about 12$/hr jobs cause WE LET 30/HR jobs die. Sad pathetic bunch we Americans are.

Handle by a third party you're correct! It's law to inform a home depot employee's that they're being recorded? NO they DON'T have to tell the employee. Most states have a law saying "at least" one party must consent to being recorded. Verify that from here http://www.rcfp.org/can-we-tape/state-state-g...

You're wrong on the aware line and eoc survey being the most effective tools for stirring the pot! If you want to start trouble use the VOC "voice of the customer." Managers fear for their jobs when they get low VOC's

I'm always happy to help someone ignorant, you're welcome.

Home depot doesn't want unions, unions protect the employees. Home Depot tricks it's employee's into not wanting a Union, by having an "Employee Aware Line" to call it. This aware line is a sham! The aware line does nothing more than to protect home depot athen it does to help it's employee's.

The other sham home depot uses is a thing called "town hall" meetings. If there's problems in the store and you bring it up in town hall meeting, nothing is done about them. If it effects home depot or its profit, yes something will be done.
