UAW membmbership is at an ALL TIME LOW. Any wonder when 3600 greedy workers can put tens of thousands of the rest of us out of work because $73 with benefits currently and they are still not happy. Better learn spanish or canadian 'cause we are gonna need it!

The BIG mistake the PATCO Union employees made when the air traffic controllers went on strike is they did not consider the fact that there was only one employer, the government, and therefore NO OTHER JOBS for them to go to. Auto workers in MI are making the SAME MISTAKE because there are NO OTHER JOBS in MI if you are wrong. You ARE wrong too.

Um, you should know that the aam people make 23$ an hour and the 73$ is a FULLY LOADED wage, meaning retirement costs, benefits, dental and eye care and to top that off it is not correct. The 23$ an hour you get cost of living adjustments wich ends up being a couple bucks more. Not trying to be rude by any means but here AGAIN people are not being informed of the true facts of this situation. Everyone assumes its the unions fault no matter what. I think people would be SMART if they did there homework and also realized there will be a day in the near future that we all are going to have to be UNITED. Truckers are starting to strike now also, can you blame them???? I cant and i hope they do it. I wouldnt want to sit on the sidelines and get ran down by the fatcats but other people are more than welcome. Oh, and does anyone think the cost of a car or truck will go down???? I will bet my pathetic paycheck they WONT. The bottom line is what would anyone do if they were losing over HALF of there wage AND benefits wich by the way for a doctor visit is already 70$ to 110$ a visit. Kind of think we all need to wake up and smell the depression.

Wow, one person has all that power. Look to Congress too. Look at the American people and their buying habits.

AA is an example of corporate greed. They are profitable and want the workers to take a 60% cut so they can stuff more cash into the pockets of the CEOs. These workers are doing the right thing by striking. The union has been willing to negotiate but the company does not want to be reasonable. If these workers were forced to take a 60% cut they would lose their homes, cars, and be bankrupt. They have nothing to lose by striking.
