I have had time Warner cable for some time and i'm content with it. However seberal years ago
some exec dreamed up moving some channels above 100 to force people to rent a cable
box for each room in the house. That fellow is long gone from the company and I'd like
to see TCM and animal planet restored below channel 100.

Isn't "Hawthorne" part of Animal Planet?

You can tell when they aren't doing that well. Time and time again on multiple channels you see their "All the best" cable/phone/internet package commercials. Or you'll see their "we give great customer service" commercials. I have Time Warner and I do have to say I have received very good customer service. However, I don't like their commercials that come on English language channels that are in Spanish. I bought the service and watch the channels in English, not Spanish. If I wanted to see those I'd learn Spanish and watch the Alcalde, Greasy Tony, El Mayor La Raza on Telemundo or what ever channel it is.
