Hi MD USN,

my own problem comes from your first post, in which you (and granted, you're not alone on 'that' side of the issue!) ranted about 'let's blame Barney Frank'...

but you didn't address my primary point, which is 'why are Reps focused on the minority-Congressman who had NO majority during 2001-2006, while ignoring the Majority in Congress that were stifling the investigations-reforms?

Ya gotta admit that BOTH parties have sold us down the river, but to me, the ability of the Reps to take 'potshots' to distract the American public is much more organized and powerful (thanks to FOX and its known liars)...

I maintain since 1984 that we have LOST our government, to a purely Fascist-business-Gov't alliance that has taken most of the issues and twisted them to benefit Corps.;

I've maintained for many years that US politix is like the SuperBowl; especially if you prefer OTHER sports than US Football; the Reps-Dems WIN every election, to OUR detriment...

I'd write a wee bit more but I've a dinner app't.

My problem is this:
Sure you can blame one party or the other it really doesn't matter.
The issue is that certain people were charged with the oversight of programs and failed...
These same individuals were also presiding over hearing regarding fault with the same programs.
Some of those people publically lied about bonus's
Finally these same people were major recipient's
of campaign contributions from said programs.
Now I don't know about you but I see a teensy conflict of interest?
but if you can maintain the party line then I guess it's alright?

I concur

Both parties have sold us down the river, but we let them.

Like I have said on other forums if you watch people entering and exiting the polling booths.

Time them, I would be willing to bet they spend more time ordering the #3 at Mickey Dee's than they do choosing a representative?

They have probably spent even less time researching any candidate.....Unless he or she has a television sound bite..

Just to add, most of these voters have never went to their elected officials office to check-up on their public-servant, we get what we deserve!!..
I personally would see my sheriff and congress man every two-months, ya gotta let them know someone cares...

They meant well.
They did not mean well, and should have been called to court.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Taurus

Your spirits are high and you're feeling great! It's a super day for doing whatever appeals to you, provided it involves plenty of enjoyment and laughter. The thought of struggling through a pile of work is likely to leave you cold, and you'll be tempted to put it off until you're more in the mood. If you can, visit somewhere new now.
