So much for Mr. Copy and Paste Al Duncan. This just came out to day on the AP. So once again the sky is not falling here, only in his little world.

LONDON (AP)-- The first study to link a childhood vaccine to autism was based on doctored information about the children involved, according to a new report on the widely discredited research.

The conclusions of the 1998 paper by Andrew Wakefield and colleagues was renounced by 10 of its 13 authors and later retracted by the medical journal Lancet, where it was published. Still, the suggestion the MMR shot was connected to autism spooked parents worldwide and immunization rates for measles, mumps and rubella have never fully recovered.

A new examination found, by comparing the reported diagnoses in the paper to hospital records, that Wakefield and colleagues altered facts about patients in their study.

The analysis, by British journalist Brian Deer, found that despite the claim in Wakefield's paper that the 12 children studied were normal until they had the MMR shot, five had previously documented developmental problems. Deer also found that all the cases were somehow misrepresented when he compared data from medical records and the children's parents.

the tie-in is that Al was just telling us how bad vaccines are, and one of his pieces of evidence just fell apart. The problem with his current rant is that he doesn't make any distinction between a gift and loan, and doesn't say how much of the money has already been repaid, at what rate of interest or what the purpose of the loans were-sometimes context is important, it's one of Al's chronically weak points.

Don't confuse Al with scientific evidence. He'll just act like a rat in a cage who has been poked one too many times through the bars. But instead of running around endlessly after the prod, he will just post 10 more excepts from his published rant. Then he will move on in a week to his next totally unrelated column in the hope that this "noise" and change of subject will divert attention from what goof he is. This guy couldn't reason his way out of a paper bag.

But as I've said before, I could accept all of this if Al could just accept his limitations and had some humility. But he does not and instead wants to be a Pied Piper leading other misguided souls to march off the cliff in lockstep. And believe me, there's no shortage of those people in the county. Way to go Record Bee for giving him a megaphone!

Fact is the government, we the people (as if), have actually turned a PROFIT on the TARP funds.

Have often wondered about that alleged link to autism & vaccinations. Got both sons all theirs and the grandson is getting his - I remembered pertussis as a child. Am glad there was a vaccine available for them, along with the polio one. The only people they have ever seen with polio are my friends that had it when they were little, it seems to come back on you as you age. Course that could be said of every little bump, bang or fall down go boom you ever experienced in your life ;)

i'm going to repeat what i said before because action is required now from the Record Bee and Al Duncan. They have done potential damage to the future health of the community through the spreading of a myth.
I don't want the conversation to just move on because of the people's short attention span.

Do you think Al,(or the Record Bee, for that matter) will alert their readership that the main scientist promoting the link between autism and vaccine has been discredited? I knew long before this latest blurb came out in just what low esteem this scientist was held and that he was thought to have doctored evidence.

So Al, do you just move on now? Is it OK, Record Bee, that there is now a substantial portion of your readership that will not have their children vaccinated because of the groundless fear you instilled in them? Does your responsibility end, Record Bee, because you and Al both say that these are the opinions of the author only?

Until both entities, the Record Bee and Al Duncan, have put as much effort into correcting the misconception about the link between autism and vaccines as they did in promoting it (I.e. Not some back page correction) I consider both parties to be a blight on the community.

You call it scientific facts, but the real fact is that 1 out of every 101 male children who receive their final vaccinations are being changed. I get 5-6 emails every day from parents describing the horror stories of how their bright, A-student child no longer will look at them, don't speak, can't focus, TOTALLY LOST! They're fighting a real, life altering battle and their not getting any help from anyone because the scientific facts say that there is no connection. That's the same lie the VA told our soldiers when they came home from Vietnam sick from Agent Orange. And then, 20 years later, after most of them were dead and the remaining Veteran's lives were totally ruined, our government said, sorry, you're right, it was Agent Orange and we did it to you.

As I've said many times before, there are two sides to every story. I present the side you don't here from your normal corporate media. You take your pick which one you believe. But I normally side against the government because the evidence against them is always overwhelming. Do your research, Google Autism and Vaccines and watch and listen to the horror stories from these parents, they're all over the Internet. Then you come back and put me down for trying to assist them in their plight against the evil drug companies and our government that’s supporting them.

Thank you Al for pointing out the scary truth: We have the most vaccinated kids on earth and some of the sickest.

The agency in charge of the vaccine program, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approve the vaccines
and they also are in charge of vaccine safety.

They allow additives like mercury and aluminum which have never been tested by the FDA for toxicity.

Hundreds of employees at the CDC have waivers because of direct financial ties to the drug industry.

The last head of the CDC, Dr. Julie Gerberding, a long time denier of any link between vaccines and autism, is now the head of the vaccine division
at Merck.

The CDC has a dozen studies all showing no link between their vaccines and the epidemic increase in autism. Anyone looking at the studies will

The vaccine schedule has been tripled since 1983 without a single study on the cumulative effect of so many vaccines so soon on the health of a baby.

Before you go off on a tangent about this being a program the Corpublicans should get atta boys for, bear in mind that the original demand from bush/Paulson made was on 1.5 pages, not for $760 billion but for $1 trillion that would have had virtually ZERO accountability to the people. It was the DEMOCRATS who not only knocked 1/4 off the tab but insisted on having actual rules that would result in use getting repaid. Dear Al,
There will always be misinformed and/or self serving people in the world. It would naturally take one of either kind to promote something that has already been scientifically proven to be false. You can line up as many shills, miscreants, or fools to agree with you as you want and it won't make your argument any more convincing. Another tip, just because the government and pharmaceutical companies can, and many times do, act corruptly does not give you an excuse to just make up facts and then blame it on them. Conversely, my saying you are wrong does not put me on the side of both either. I really would like you to just take a course in critical thinking from Mendocino Jr. College. It would help you immensely.

As far as the Record Bee, I haven't yet decided whether they are shills or fools on this subject. Perhaps both.
