I hope all Union Members are watching closely. The UAW kept demanding concessions and getting them even long after GM was loosing money every year and couldn't afford to pay them what they were paying at that time. That may not be the only reason why GM want bankrupt, but it sure helped nail down the coffin lid.
Now it seems we the taxpayers are bailing them out by paying off all their debts, and we are being told that one of their biggest priorities is keeping their Union members employed though this mess. Damn, the last thing GM needs is to keep the UAW partnership.
The first thing they should do is kick out the union and invite all thier workers back to work in Non-Union jobs that have pay and compensation packages like their piers have in American Toyota factories.
As long as the union is still there GM will be paying far too much for it's labor and benifits, and not have enough money to build competitively decent cars. They are going to loose more money, and we're going to have to bail them out again.
Why don't we just admit, the goal here is to keep the Union Workers all Union. Just skip the cr ap and say we're going to give all of them free healthcare, free pensions, all paid for with tax money, and get it over with. After all that's what we're really doing, through the back door.

Garbage cars and trucks is the reason GM will fail, regardless of what the government does or does not do. I'v owned one GM product in my life and driven plenty of others and will never buy another one. They are pure junk. Even the inexpensive Korean cars I rent from time to time are better. Let them fail now. They don't deserve to survive.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Virgo

Life catches you unawares today but for once you don't really mind. A friend is likely to ring up with an exciting suggestion or you could receive a spur of the moment invitation that's too good to refuse. An interesting encounter is also on the cards, especially when you're brought together through unusual circumstances.
