Actually my husband just got home from work & todays rumor is that the whole plant is going to be laid off for the entire month of December or January so that new presses can be installed. So, who knows why they would still be hiring if they are shutting the plant down for a month...

My spouse has been with Gm since '93. He's skilled trades-union. We are in TX.We have been on the Lordstown and KY transfer list for over 15 months. They are not hiring or working overtime and the only transfers are from closing plants.I love to hear some good news if any one has any.

They did not cut overtime for the rest of the year just for October 25th, November 8th and November 22nd. And there is a big rumor about the whole plant being shut down in December, people are even going as far as to say they saw it on the news but yet I cant seem to find any type of info on it on any of the news station websites.
