The decision to close the dealerships was NOT made by Chrysler, but by OBAMA administration officials.

In Washington D.C., a big Democratic Party contributor was allowed to keep his dealerships open---but 6 competitor dealerships in the District have been ELIMINATED by Obama's taskforce.

COINCIDENTALLY, they gave to the GOP. And this isn't an isolated case. It appears that the closing of dealerships have been tied to the amount of money (or lack thereof)the dealerships donated to Dems.

This is the CHANGE that everyone wanted?

What business is next to be targeted? You don't give to a certain party and you lose your biz?

Sounds fascist to me.

The problem is simple, too many years of executive decisions that doomed Chrysler. The Dittoheads want to blame the crew when the ship ran into the iceberg, instead of the Captain.

Who steered the ship called Chrysler, the CEO, the 'Captain' and his Board of Directors not the 'Crew' swabbing the decks, and building the metal.

The Crew just didn't get a Platinum Parachute when they got flung overboard, the 'Executives already filled all those 'Life Boats'.

Now the Dittoheads want to say the greed was all on the part of the crew, not the guys landing in luxury on their Platinum Parachutes who 'steered the ship' into the iceberg.

So you would want to vote the way Dittoheads tell you because ???

I'm a ditto-head and I have never believed it was all the union's fault. OF COURSE the management has been brain-dead---the market has proved that again and again. I've NEVER bought an American car because I didn't like what Detroit was making. Period.

I'm NOT for the auto bailout. It's a waste of money and an unnecessary intrusion by the gummint into the marketplace.

I'll vote for ANYONE who will calm the markets and restore economic order.

As posted elsewhere, the dealerships that have been eliminated were ALL strong Gop supporters.

I don't like the GOP because they don't have the courage of their convictions but I find it chilling that O'Bama and co. are using the current economic crisis to throw the Constitution out the window and seize businesses---making POLITICAL support of their policies the determining factor of whether those businesses are seized or not.

That smacks of communism, facism,totalitarianism--whatev er you want to call it.

This is NOT the Change people bargained for.

Are there any great deals from any of the dealerships who cease to be Chrysler dealerships after today, in the Lehigh Valley area?

I read that some dealerships in FL are going for a 1/2 price sale today.
