Now this is amusing, being that your writing "skills" are worse than a seven year old that attends a government school. I hope you have a miserable life and die a painful death, but only after watching your family (if you even have one) suffer and die in pain.

You can't see what you're typing can you. Take the line; "I do know what I can see with my eyes and what others tell me." What you can see with your own eyes is one thing, but you choose to believe what "others tell you'" only if you agree with it. Others here are telling you that Toyotas are good trucks, but you choose not to believe it because you disagree with it. What others tell you is all hearsay, whether you agree with it or not.

Oh yeah, Tom You missed my joke about the shingles. You are a newcomer to this thread and didn't realize I was teasing Frank about hauling shingles in his Silverado.

Comcast had a list of models likely to be axed by the makers....mostly big three...Buick Lucerne, Chevy Tahoe....oddly Mustang and Camero(sales decline) i doubt they will be killed....Toyota Avalon, probably too big for most, when the Camry is much better value.....interesting.....all simply pertained to declining model sales.....

Only the fed and rentals buy those domestics anymore since they have become known as the "Clunkers" that no one wants. Those who are stuck with them find out fast that ya can't give em away either so they stay parked in the yard somewhere.

Subject: FIRST GOOD ESTIMATES OF RUNNING A CHEVY VOLT ----
Cost to operate a Chevy Volt
Eric Bolling (Fox Business Channel's Follow the Money) test drove the Chevy Volt at the invitation of General Motors.
For four days in a row, the fully charged battery lasted only 25 miles before the Volt switched to the reserve gasoline engine.
Eric calculated the car got 30 mpg including the 25 miles it ran on the battery. So, the range including the 9 gallon gas tank and the 16 kwh battery is approximately 270 miles. It will take you 4 1/2 hours to drive 270 miles at 60 mph. Then add 10 hours to charge the battery and you have a total trip time of 14.5 hours. In a typical road trip your average speed (including charging time) would be 20 mph.
According to General Motors, the Volt battery hold 16 kwh of electricity. It takes a full 10 hours to charge a drained battery.
The cost for the electricity to charge the Volt is never mentioned so I looked up what I pay for electricity.
I pay approximately (it varies with amount used and the seasons)$1.16 per kwh.
16 kwh x $1.16 per kwh =$18.56 to charge the battery.
$18.56 per charge divided by 25 miles =$0.74 per mile to operate the Volt using the battery.
Compare this to a similar size car with a gasoline engine only that gets 32 mpg.
$3.19 per gallon divided by 32 mpg =$0.10 per mile.
The gasoline powered car cost about $15,000 while the Volt costs $46,000.
So Obama wants us to pay 3 times as much for a car that costs more than 7 times as much to run and takes 3 times as long to drive across country.

Over all you are spot on, the Volt cost to operate is much higher than a normal vehicle. To take it one step further, trace the source of your electricity and you will find that the Volt actually runs on coal. And yes Blue, Obama wants us to........

Obama wants the American car companys to be successful, beyond that is entirely speculative.....actually, the Mitsubishi Ivo and Nissan Leaf are better values in electric vehicles.....

Yet another candid example of how Big Government is a LOUSY business manager. Too bad the American taxpayer is still on the hook for about $38 billion in GM bailout monies... all so that Islamofascist , Socialist Nazi known as Obama can buy votes with his UAW buddies. Excelsior. GM should have been allowed to go through a structured bankruptcy WITHOUT taxpayer bailout. Too big to fail??? My ass.
