What a waste of time. It's well known that GM is closing under-performing dealerships, so why put so much effort into saving a dealership that isn't selling cars? GM isn't forcing them to close their doors completely, they can continue selling used cars or apply for a franchise for another brand.

Maybe Bueermann can start buying Buicks for his department. This is an upscale community that deserves upscale cars to go with it's airplane and Segway personal movers.

I look forward to the day when a stretch midnight blue Buick limousine cruises up Lantern Crest to pick up the Chief.

The only way GM will keep Hatfield Buick is if they sell more cars. Obviously, Hatfiled is not that profitable for GM.

Everyone who post on here likes to type and are
pro Redlands. I encourage everyone to write a letter of support for them and deliver it on Wednesday. I for one would not sell the organizers of this short.

There was a time we would let the free market economy decide who stays and who goes. Do we really want the government making these choices for us?

The reason Redlands is in such sad financial shape is embodied in this letter writing charade. In stead of looking to the future, they serve Kool Aid from a carefully reedited past.

Face(book) it, the Hatfield's may be very nice people, but they've been selling vehicles that are so yesterday: big, inefficient, gas guzzling dinosaurs. The organizers want taxpayers to subsidize a failing business because they are friends and belong to Rotary.

What would you expect from a Chamber of Commerce that gave its Man_Of_The_Year Award to a guy who directed the failure of not one, but two local banks.(I would have given him the Willie Sutton award.- you can look it up on Wikipedia.)

Wow the cost of the bank failure to FDIC was $220,000,000 if my eyes are working. Is that true? Someone should go to jail. Did this ever get investigated or was it lost in the sea of bank failures and forgotten?

Dude, take a chill pill. I don't want Hatfield to go out of business, I just won't buy a Buick.

The City needs revenue and the seniors need a place to take their cars.

and what brand of car do you drive?

I will admit that my grandpa's '72 Buick Skylark was nice. His '73 Regal was a land yacht.

Hi Longhair,

Glass houses -- stones. "Your" vs. "you're" please go get a 9th grade grammar book and look up the proper usage.

So, we're in this situation b/c we buy cars that we want to buy, boohoo, blame the consumers.

If you want to be a teacher go ahead, The fact that im even posting is better than any of the kids or even most adults about something that affecting the economy says not only something about my intelligence but more about my passion of what happens to this country....So go ahead an dis my spelling and grammar ...hell do the punctuation too!

You tell him. This "Doc" guy acts like he cares but you point out his true colors then he quickly switches the subject. Even his girlfriend DN does not try to defend him on here. He just poses like he is pro Redlands. Can't even get him to write one letter or sign a petition to help one of the cornerstone businesses in town.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Taurus

Your spirits are high and you're feeling great! It's a super day for doing whatever appeals to you, provided it involves plenty of enjoyment and laughter. The thought of struggling through a pile of work is likely to leave you cold, and you'll be tempted to put it off until you're more in the mood. If you can, visit somewhere new now.
