A bunch of greedy elitists using our money (the common citizen) to live a luxurious lifestyle. GM gets exactly what it deserves but I have a feeling that all the greedy execs and CEOs will find other grossly high paying jobs to satiate their lust for money

First, I'm bummed because, of the paltry TWO comments appearing before mine, neither was from Long Beach. What is going on with Long Beach? No opinions?

Second,it would behoove a lot of us to seriously look at the 2010 GM models and see if there is enough compelling evidence to BUY one.

The more cars they sell, the quicker the country gets it's investment back.

BUY AMERICAN!!!(whenver possible)

If I'm going to buy an American made car it will be a Ford. No Government Motors vehicles for me. The less support GM and Chrysler gets from the public for their Obama-mandated vehicles, the sooner they will have to face the reality of failure that every other business must face. Obama needs to get out of the auto business before he wastes even more taxpayer's money, but government control of private enterprises is what he is all about.

The Obama cannot fully nationalize the Auto Industry to provide permanent protections for the UAW if Ford thrives. He will see that Ford is destroyed within two years. If there is anything that the Obamaites HATE, it is prosperity.

You "drove" your point home beautifully. Way to go! Unfortunately, you're probably right about Ford being next on his not-so-secret agaenda.

The government of the United States has no business owning any private company, much less purchasing it with taxpayer dollars. The 60% of GM stock, purchased with the largesse of taxpayers, should be distributed equally to those taxpayers registered with the IRS as paying taxes for 2008, that is filing in April 2009.

Gettlefinger Motors....50 Billion in Welfare for the UAW.......Yeah!

The old GM was in much better shape that California.
But, we'll leave that mess for our kids to be crushed under.

That's just the way we "roll" in California.

What's the saying. "As goes GM, so goes the country." With Obama's policies, it does look as if the country will soon follow.

This is what happens when you trade efficiency for profit, people are not gonna stand up for low quality anymore. We should learn something from the Japanese and Europeans who build cars with high standards not some beer drinking F@hcks from Michigan who happens to work on a Monday morning hungover and you happen to buy a GMC Sierra that these boozos assembled.

I hope they learned a very valuable lesson, Quality comes First was just a mere motto so some stup1^d Mexican would think, it will last forever and get duped into buying one.

Where is the GM of the 60's that's what we need!!! The only time America really made good cars.

Bailing these companies was really dumb in the first place, either way they're going under, maybe they could've saved a lot more Americans that have nothing than giving these jer@KS(executives) bonuses and laughed their way to the bank. That's how the present admin reward these coward who brought their country to shame.

Yeah. I met my wife Shelly thanks to the Corvair. She lived across the street from me, and we both went out after we heard our neighbors Corvair explode. Pretty colors for a pretty lady. We like to think our neighbor didn't die for nothing.

GM is not a company that can look beyond its' arrogance. The only car that appeals somewhat to me that they produce, is the HHR. Comes with a $22,000 price??? To think the Malibu can compete with the designs of Toyota or Hyandai, is pathetic. Looks like nothing more than a re-designed Cavalier. So OLD hat. They get rid of Saturn, which is very modern and fits the future of the auto industry, but they keep the OLD boring standard Buick. How can a company got towards the future, but keep building the same old boring cars, like the Impala, or the Buick? I don't care to drive what my grandmama drove. I want to drive something different, something new. I want good gas mileage, and something smaller. Our generation cares about fuel efficiency and size. Our generation cares about the planet and being less wasteful and reckless.

I for one will not be buying any GM or Chrysler products ever again. I'm happy that the DOJ Industrial kicked them out from their stock indices. What the Government has done since this time last year to present has been a violation of the constitution. This whole thing was a charade, GM and Chrysler were going to go bankrupt, anyway, the government new this but got the public all worked up and more in tune to bailouts for the purpose of gaining control of GM and Chrysler, so that they could either tell GM and Chrysler how they would run their day to day ops or how they were going to restructure which is the exact definition of Fascism. The Obama administration played favoritism by giving the Unions, whom never ran a company large stakes in both companies, whom were the sole reason why those companies were ailing, but yet, you do not hear anything from the media which is not surprising to the least.

You think American cars are crap now, just wait until the government cars start to roll out. It will be an amusing thing to see when no one buys those ugly ass cars. And they will be unappealing, slow. Mark my word!

Oh! Forgot to say, unsafe too. Let's see how safe people feel in one when they drive next to my SUV. All I have to say is, if you think you can plow over me and survive, then attempt it, I know I will come out alive.
