Here's one for you all... if the cost of healthcare in this country hadn't gotten so out of hand, our automakers and other major industries would have no trouble whatsoever outperforming many of their foreign counterparts in the world marketplace. I guess that's the union's fault, too.

I really agree that healthcare is our next great issue. We, as a nation, can't afford to keep everyone alive at our current level of care. We have made great advances technology-wise but can we afford it??? Health care is ridiculously expensive and I can see a time when Doctors, Nurses, Hospitals and HMO's will be in this same bucket...

I feel if the government does bail out the automakers, the pricing of vehicles needs to be addressed. It is ridiculous that a decent vehicle costs over $20,000! The prices of SUVs are way too high also! Consumers should have not have to pay $400-$500 per month to own a vehicle! Granted I do not pay that for my vehicle, but most people around $400 per month. The auto industry has gotten too greedy! I bet it doesn't take $35,000 to make that Ford Explorer or Chevy Tahoe, etc. Like I said they need to have more affordable vehicles available to consumers!
