Instead of going after Cherios for saying they reduce cholesterol, which they do, how about going after all the dietary supplements which say they do all these wonderful things, but don't actually do anything. No one is going to think they can do without their medicine by eating a bowl of cereal, but people do think that taking some herbal remedy is going to cure them. Regulate that stuff.

The stuff gives you gas like there's no tomorrow. Should come with a warning against using product near an open flame.

Seems like the FDA is bitter...is cheerios really cutting into its sale of drugs?

FDA - part of the largest drug dealing cartel on this earth.

So, the fact the Cheerios does in fact reduce cholesterol, the FDA attacks a company that produces a food product that benefits the American populace's health.

A company should be allowed to advertise such benefits not only for the company's financial benefit, but for the public's health as a whole.

What the heck ! The FDA sure can figure out ways to not protect us quick enough as they ignore Chicom products that are poisioning us daily. This stinks of drug companies having a hand in this one ! Give me a break GM calling it a drug technically ? Why doesn't the FDA do something constructive like protect americans from all the crap coming into this country. How much did it cost tax payers for this letter.

I guess General Mills failed to kick in when told to by Obama and are unwilling to go along with his socialist plans. Typical Chicago stuff. You won't play ball? then get ready for a visit from the building inspectors and fire marshals. Obama is a cheap, crooked thug and shakedown artist.

Cheerios? Cheerios? This is all they have to do?

I eat Cherrios because I like their taste, not because of health claims. Now what do I do ... get a waiver from the government so I can purchase them?
Why doesn't the FDA check out "cold pizza for breakfast"? I think that is definitely a health risk! Oh get a grip, people!! If the FDA gets involved in "alternate theories" that will give us time to enjoy breakfast!
Bob, thanks for the tip to use beer.

How funny this is.

General Mills has been putting this on Cheerios boxes for some time now and the FDA says something now?

Anyhow, I have had Cheerios ever since childhood and my health is as good as it could be (not that it's just because of cereal, but it hasn't hurt).
