Philip Morris owns Kraft. They have moved much of Krafts production to plants they own in Canada and some to South America since taking over.

They are looking at moving additional lines to Mexico along with Hersheys.

sounds like our local kraft plant is on the way out....that 600 number is a clue.

Phillip Morris no longer owns Kraft.
They haven't for sometime now.(Thanks to the lawsuits.) Anyway, welcome to Corporate America.

Altria spun Kraft off in March of 2007. Altria owns Philip Morris.

As a soon to be unemployed Canadian Worker, I can honestly say that Canada does not look like the destination of choice for products...seems most of ours are moving to USA or sold off. We'll be closed by end of Oct '08 we're told.

how much more profit do you think theyll make off of the working schmucks at the plant by wasting the money on the highly overpaid upper class management types?

agree with heynows comment at the kraft plant i work at managers are all buddies and are unqualified for their jobs and vastly overpaid
