The sock industry in Fort Payne is slowly being dismantled piece by piece. The owners/corporate are selling the community down the river for the sake of lining the shareholders pockets. The 180 degree turn in their views on the tariff is so telling. How many times have we heard the phrase "it's business as usual" All hosiery industry employees no matter who they work for - MUST WATCH OUT FOR THEMSELVES!!! VI and the good ole' boys are gone by the way side. Everything is a spin these days - if you think it is going to last more than 3 to 5 years you are dreaming.
