We have lost a great country and we set and crap
about everything, "in the end Means nothing and
solves, your right,, "NOTHING"!

When will the people grow up and realize when this
country goes down, you will go with it..? Don't
you realize that your blame game is not working?
Can't you think about what is happening and do
something to fix it? Are you going to depend on
someone else to make it right, And who might that
be??? YOUR a citizen, its your duty to make your
voice heard and make some sense as to what needs
to be done and how to get this ountry going again.
Unless we the people stand up and stop hiding
behind these postings, and either kick these
people out and find a sincere person who is qualified to help us fix this country....we will
have lost all we hold dear for what???????who you
placed in office and refuse to see what a mistake you made for all of us. TELL ME, is he worth it?? To lose all, and you can't see what may very well to late to be fixed?

*IF today, you lost everyone you love, your home,
and all you possess, and was set down on a desert
totally alone, what would you do???
IT all was caused because of your ONE Act, and
your blame game..... Anything you did or thought
will not save you now. Think it can't happen,
just keep it as it is and YOU will find out

Come on America, aren't we better and stronger
than this??????????
well

this ISN'T about taxes...the tax issue could be fixed in 30 seconds...you totally missed my point...
as ceo of g.e., immelt took their stock on a nosedive! PLENTY of shareholders were complaining! but, THAT'S not my point, either...as the parent company of nbc, g.e./immelt totally committed that network to electing obama...they skewed their news, their commentary and their ads to promote obama above all else...
in return, immelt/g.e. was to profit IN THE $ BILLIONS from cap and trade, and, the green energy push...that hasn't worked out as well as he was promised by obama (imagine THAT!)...so, he gets made the chair of an advisory board.
it's as crooked, disgusting, and, probably illegal as when obama totally disregarded the bankrupcy laws to give majority ownership and control of the auto companies to the unions, while screwing the bondholders.
there is a HUGE conflict of interest between obama and immelt/g.e./nbc, just as there is between obama and seiu and, the uaw.
it would have brought down a republican president...
Again, you're right, but again I question why no one questioned the scams going on in the last administration? How about the "lost" 6 billion dollars that has now been shown to have been stolen? Stolen by whom???? And how does our government allow such a thing to happen?

A whole lot of sleazy, slimy less-than-aboveboard things went on between 2001 and 2009 and everyone in this country turned their heads and saw nothing. Now all of a sudden these same people are the champions of truth and transparency? You see nothing hypocritical about this?

The problem is that I believe in fairness across the board and I don't see much of that. Bush pretty much did whatever he wanted to do no questions asked and if anyone did ask a question then God help them because they were called unAmerican and unpatriotic and a communist ad nauseum.

To this day nothing Bush did has been seriously called into question even though his administration has admitted Iraq was a waste of time and money (and of course lives, but what's a few souls between friends?). Debacles of devastating magnitude happened during his watch and everyone smiled like brainwashed idiots and said nothing. Why is that? He wasn't a good president by any stretch of the imagination, so the only answer I can come up with is that he is a Republican and that's the only qualification he needs to be vindicated of any actions that caused this country harm.

But from day one Obama has been under a microscope and if he as much as has toast for breakfast everyone is there to examine it and decide whether the jelly is the right or wrong flavor.

I'm not advocating for Obama, I'm questioning whether the people of this nation truly care about the country or whether they are simply so bi-partisan that the country is now secondary to the party. If that's the case, Carey, then that's a scary thought because that's how Nazism was born. The party became the central focus of the people and the leaders.

What I'd really like to see is for Americans to step up to the plate and demand more of ALL government leaders not just certain ones. And until that happens I'm not going to make judgments regarding one knowing full well that all the others before him/her have been guilty of the same or worse.

We're not helping our country. We love to lay blame but we refuse to spread it around so that it covers everyone who deserves it.

MOST of those jobs left because the companies...
a. couldn't afford to pay union wages and benefits and maintain competitveness
b. couldn't afford the epa regulation
c. government regulating how they do business.
the tax issues WERE pretty much on the bottom of the list of reasons, as WAS healthcare costs...
not so much anymore.
Carey - union jobs made up but a small percentage of the manufacturing jobs in America. I've lived in the south all my life. You can't find a union job here to save your life, but our textile and furniture mills vanished almost overnight.

Call centers and IT work were not normally unionized, but those jobs disappeared also. Union had nothing to do with it.

Those businesses CHOSE to put millions of people out of work so they could earn an extra nickel hiring some Indonesian to do the work. Yes, that Indonesian will work for pennies an hour. They won't ask for healthcare benefits or vacation or sick days. But they aren't AMERICANS. These companies should be ASHAMED of themselves for not only backstabbing this country but for using the "it's too expensive in America" excuse when we all know now that the move was profit-driven, period.

Anyone complain about the Commercial Pilot's Union? Union for law enforcement or fire fighters? Union for professional athletes? Union for actors? Railroad workers union? There are plenty of unions left. Electrician's union? But see, you can't offshore jobs like firemen and train engineers or football players. But you CAN offshore the job of a woman sewing blue jeans and Levi Strauss just upped its profit tenfold.

It's all about the money, Carey. Everything is all about the money. These are companies that don't mind headquartering themselves in the United States. They don't mind living in the United States and taking advantage of being American but they send their jobs to foreign countries. The company CEO's earn multi-million dollar salaries while poor people in Cambodia work in sweat shops making their products. This is the way companies did business 100 years ago. Remember the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory story? Poor young women working 12 hours a day 6 days a week in cramped conditions behind doors that were often bolted shut because the workers were "abusing bathroom breaks" and over 100 women died, many of them teenagers, when a fire broke out due to a lack of fire regulations and workplace safety.

And that, Carey, is why we have many of those regulations you say businesses complain about. If we didn't have them our lives would be miserable, if not in serious jeopardy everytime we went to work. That's no excuse for bailing out of the country and leaving Americans without jobs.
