And so begins a year of political lying and butt-kissing from both parties in order to win an election.

ONE party has already proven they can't create jobs, so lying from them is expected. To those who are still blind as to what is going on, your the target. Its expected of you to continue to spread the lies about the economy and jobs. It will be impossible for most who are STILL without jobs to swallow this again. Anyone who has an "idea" will be shot down before they leave the gate. So expect exactly what you want and will get....More lies for those who want to hear it again.... Don't be silly enough to expect anything different but then look what we are dealing with...

>>>In North Carolina on Monday, the president will meet with his Jobs and Competitiveness Council and promote more jobs in targeted industries. Later, he will attend three fundraisers in donor-rich Miami. He will end his travels Tuesday in Puerto Rico. In an opinion piece published Monday in The Wall Street Journal, General Electric chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt, the head of Obama's jobs council, and American Express CEO and chairman Ken Chennault laid out a job plan that included easing visa applications to attract more tourists and increasing energy efficiency in commercial buildings.<<< how does ANYONE still back this inept loser? and how HASN'T there been any outrage about jeff immelt? oh, yeah... the media.

NO ONE is going to "create" jobs until those manufacturing jobs are made to come back to the United States and cheap foreign labor is ended. Let's see which party has balls enough to do that.

I absolutely agree, Carey, but let me ask you this. Was anyone complaining about GE when they were earning top dividends from them during the Iraq War? What about all the controversies surrounding Halliburton and the tax money THEY walked away with? Do you think GE is the only company that gets away with not paying its fair share of taxes? It's a known fact that the US loses hundreds of billions of dollars a year in revenue from earnings that are hidden or undisclosed in some form or fashion. It's all relevant, so if you're going to complain about one company you have to consider them all. Our tax code is created in such a way as to protect these companies while the rest of us have to make up the difference for they don't pay. And as long as these companies are allowed to coerce lawmakers with the threat of national abandonment then they will be allowed to do whatever they please.

Republicans in the House have already done what's needed for jobs by voting to repeal the bill. Ball is in the Democrat's court.

Yep, Obama finally realizes that he has to get the private sector moving in order to pay for all of the new government jobs he has invented........but he hasn't a clue about how to do it.

"Outrage?" About what, the fact that big corporations have the ears of politicians because they contribute to their campaigns? This is NEWS to you? America is a corporatocracy, no matter which party's in charge.

Anyone who is still believeing in Obama are the same people who BUYS all those things advertised on TV. And are surprised they don't work. They are still believing in OBAMA, and scrathing their heads but will vote for him again. Seeing is not believing to them. Thinking Obama realizes it now, yea, he will continue to do as he has, because there are those who think he needs more time to ruin us. Leopards do not change their spots, and Obama is on a mission and he will not quit until he accomplishes what he wants to do. Only voters will stop him....Think his followers will QUIT blameing Bush long enough to see the light??? My brother used to blame everything on me when he got in trouble and he was 5yrs old and I was 3........

Jobs were leaving the U.S. by the scores long before Obama became president so your excuse is invalid. Nice try but most Americans are smart enough to understand that corporate greed is what has left us jobless. Those backstabbing American companies enjoy being headquartered in this country but they spit in the face of American workers and hire foreigners so the company CEO's can earn record salaries. Neither Republicans nor Democrats can or will do what is needed for jobs. Being unemployed isn't a problem for them... THEY have a a job (paid for by the taxpayer). Like everything else that affects the working people of America, Washington just isn't interested.

And as long as these companies are allowed to coerce lawmakers with the threat of national abandonment then they will be allowed to do whatever they please. this ISN'T about taxes...the tax issue could be fixed in 30 seconds...you totally missed my point... as ceo of g.e., immelt took their stock on a nosedive! PLENTY of shareholders were complaining! but, THAT'S not my point, either...as the parent company of nbc, g.e./immelt totally committed that network to electing obama...they skewed their news, their commentary and their ads to promote obama above all else... in return, immelt/g.e. was to profit IN THE $ BILLIONS from cap and trade, and, the green energy push...that hasn't worked out as well as he was promised by obama (imagine THAT!)...so, he gets made the chair of an advisory board. it's as crooked, disgusting, and, probably illegal as when obama totally disregarded the bankrupcy laws to give majority ownership and control of the auto companies to the unions, while screwing the bondholders. there is a HUGE conflict of interest between obama and immelt/g.e./nbc, just as there is between obama and seiu and, the uaw. it would have brought down a republican president...

Is it to provide jobs or is its purpose to make things or provide a service with jobs being a byproduct? Greed certainly plays a big part in corporations leaving the US but I remember NAFTA and Perot and the giant sucking sound he referred to also. And corporate taxes have also driven many away. Also speaking of greed how about unions pricing themselves out of a job? As far as democrat and republican politicians go you couldn't be more right. I can't make up my mind if they are just clueless or just don't give a damn. And I think this is what brought about the tea party and the 2010 elections.

In May, nearly 95% of new jobs – over 400,000 – were from the federal government. Most of them were temporary Census jobs.<<< that DOESN'T include the jobs the 153 NEW government agencies created by obamacare will create. THOSE jobs, harvey. (and THAT'S only 7% of the 6 million jobs that useless turd PROMISED america he WOULD create!)

Lies, of course, all partisan and all equally smelly. Jobs moved overseas because of cheaper labor, higher profits, and encouragement by foolish politicians - both Dem and Repub. Think for yourself once in awhile...
